Worked as a server for almost a year and had to leave because I didn't feel morally correct continuing to work there. It's borderline abuse for the residents, they are fed the same things every week, nothing cooked fresh all frozen and often times cooked improperly using a shortcut to make it quicker and easier for the line cook. Extremely unsanitary conditions the dishwashing machine barely gets the job done and would fail any state inspection. It's not a stretch to say that some of the deaths in this building were a direct result of the kitchen and nurses neglecting the residents dietary needs and serving food that would immediately be pitched at any restaurant. In regards to employment, you will have absolutely no job security working here. The Executive Operations officer Tammy McElhose who has authority over the entire building has successfully gotten rid of 3 dining directors, 2 human resource directors, multiple servers and multiple nurses all in one calendar year. The lack of management directly comes from her firings, making the nurses and kitchen staff job much more difficult without having a boss to lead the way. If your looking to find a new place to work, or send your loved one to a nice home to live out their golden years, RUN far away from Integracares Pines of Mt Lebanon location, your loved one will be susceptible to the neglect and horrible conditions that are found there.

If you need a place where the marketing director won't return calls when you are inquiring about assisted living for your loved one, this is the place. If you are looking for a place where rehab says that they will call with updates, but never do, this is the place. 2018 Still understaffed. And ministration staff of course grows. Mom is now in nursing after living and paying to be on campus for 17 years now. Today their cable TV was cut to just basic channels. Nickel and dime beyond the almost $8,000 a month fees.

She got a UTI, which no one caught!! She ended up dying from that UTI and other infections down there. Friendship Village is NOT friendly at all!!! I would rate less then a one star. During week end visit no therapies, and we helped him walk with walker. After just 10 days they discharged him wearing a diaper. Not the sort of independence in activities of living we had in mind. We struggled to get him up the few steps into the house, even though they said he was doing steps in therapy. He hasn't done much since.

I am a physician in the Los Angeles area and there are no rehab hospitals that even come close to the level of care Elinka has received here. The PT, OT, ST were stellar and the therapist were not only extremely knowledgeable but very caring. The nurses were exceptionally genuinely caring and accommodating. Admin staff including receptionist, dieticians and the social workers were always very helpful. Flying in from California, I wanted to be close to the mother in law so they allowed me to stay at absolutely no charge in one of the 4 guest rooms they use for family....Unbelievable and unheard of in Southern California. The Decour is also unique and has a lot of character as it has a colonial style and is very quaint. I feel like I'm staying at a bed-and-breakfast. Anyway, I can keep going on and on about how this place has far exceeded my expectations of any rehab hospital that I have ever been to or seen. If more health facilities were like this around the United States, this world would be a much better place. Thank you Encompass health of Sewickley!!!
