Lovely pub, textbook Kentish pub, its been a pub since the 18th century and has some really nice feature fireplaces and a nice warm atmosphere.
The food here is a cut above the usual pub grub and is more a gastro pub, with a proper chef and all fresh food, meals range from about £7 to £16 for the fillet (which is VERY nice) Steaks would appear to be a speciality as they are really good but they do have a good range on the menu and usually a good few specials on the board.
Beer is good if a little limited (it IS a Shepherd & Neame pub after all)
Has a large garden which is nice in the summer, parking is limited and on busy nights you will have to park along the road but it no major problem. read more
