We were of course concerned because one of the girls would not have a place to stay until the room was available. Although this could have been an extremely stressful event, the management was doing everything they could to accommodate us. Just as they were looking into a room for one of the girls, the tendant who was suppose to have moved out showed up. Management helped the person pack up their things, moved/carried items out of the apartment and cleaned quickly so that all three girls could move in. The apartment rooms, bathrooms and common area are nice size. The furniture in the living room is a bit worn but we are thankful it is provided. We were surprised to see TV's in each of the bedrooms. The fitness and pool area are very nice! The staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband and I read the previous reviews and asked lots of questions. So far we are pleased and our daughter and her friends are happy and feel safe. The location is close to the police station and also close to Safeway and the University. We would recommend The Grove. Thank you Carlene McPolin for all your hard work. My daughter is in good hands.

I texted to ask about removing a service we needed clarification on (waiver of liability insurance) for $15 a month, no answer. They charge about $100 on top of rent in water, electricity and what they call a "co-service billing fee". It seems that is the charge for them to split the bills and send me my portion. WOW. I'm really nervous when our lease has expired with reading the issues with that.

AVOID RENTING HERE! After living in this apartment complex for 2.5 years, the new office manager,…read moreSamantha Ricketts, offered me a pro-rated rent amount for the month if I moved out 10 days prior to the end of my lease when I mentioned I decided not to renew. She coerced me into signing a form of my notice to vacate and wrote down the days I would be moving out and also when I would like to receive the check by since I was moving out of town. She calculated the amount I would be owed as a refund from the rent I had already paid, which worked out to be $164.51. She said I would receive that amount with my deposit refund. After contacting them 3 days before I left town, she emailed me back and said that the deposit check would not be ready for me to pick up before I left and asked if she could mail it to a different address. I provided my out-of-state forwarding address for them to mail it to. According to my lease, all monies owed to my person by this apartment were to be mailed out no later than 45 days after I handed in my keys. My check was not mailed out until 53 days after I handed in my keys, and was mailed to the wrong address. This was 6 weeks after I provided them the updated address at *their* request. I even sent a reminder email 4 weeks after I provided the address to make sure they still had the updated information, to which I received no response. When I contacted the office to have the check mailed to the correct address as agreed upon by both parties 6 weeks prior, they sent me a check with a $35 charge for having to cancel the first check they mailed out to the wrong address. They also failed to include the pro-rated amount their office manager said they would include, and when questioned she denied that she ever made this offer. With the $35 charge and the $164.51 refund amount, they have stolen $199.51 from me. The coercive maneuvers used by this business and inability to recognize the mistakes made internally by their staff at the renter's expense is unethical, shady and downright fraudulent. All of this is on top of the fact that the manager is often absent from the office during business hours and sometimes takes weeks to respond to important emails, if she even responds at all. Since the office holds your packages hostage, it can sometimes be weeks before you can actually get in there to grab your mail since you never know when they'll be there. The ONLY good thing about this complex is the very sweet maintenance guy, Mike, and the previous office manager, Erin. Those two are/were always on top of things. The current management is not. Plenty of better housing options in Moscow.

When I moved in (late because my apartment wasn't "ready yet" and I had to pay for additional storage) the apartment was filthy. They sent some teenagers to come clean it again, it was still filthy. I ended up having to mop/dust/clean it myself before unpacking. Completely unapologetic about the entire situation. Oh, and your rent will go up every year for absolutely no apparent reason. Refused to give me a copy of my lease upon renewal unless I paid for it. Any communication with them must be over email, they will deny anything said/agreed upon over the phone. They will also ignore your emails. Somehow they decided that the owner of the property would be the go-to for everything, even though I didn't have a lease signed with them. Having the owner come down and ask me if I am "f***ing retarded" was ridiculous. They also make up the need for paint-repairs when you move out. TAPE EVERYTHING. Take photos of everything. Do whatever you can to rent with another property company. This place is a nightmare. Even the professors in my program tell students to not rent here.

They took our son's $2000 deposit PLUS sent him a bill for an additional $4804 for miscellaneous bogus items like a dirty sink, floor, and fridge. Look at their Goggle reviews. They all say the same terrible things. As we found out by talking to 2 lawyers, they are the only ones going to make any money, so sad, so the scamming will carry on by this company.

Here's my wife and I's experience (rented for 1.5 years): Maintenance entered our building without notifying us and then left our back door open and front door unlocked in the winter, jeopardizing our sense of safety. We reached out to Team Idaho because we were mortified and management would not take any responsibility for this and instead made excuses and would not acknowledge our concerns. When pressed further they offered to make it right, but then never responded to our request, which was an extension to resign our lease. Instead, they cancelled our lease renewal, kicking us out and never responded to any of our emails regarding this treatment. They took as much of our deposit as possible, massive fees for 'not keeping the utility bill under our name' when it actually was, and when I called the city to verify this and sent them proof they make new reasons for taking your money. I have NEVER been treated this horrible by any company let alone a property management company. All of this treatment was from the supervisor, Merida. I should also mention during this time that my wife was pregnant and they had absolutely no care for our well being, safety, and trust. This company only views tenets as an expendable monthly income, and not as people. I would not recommend them to anyone. They think all their renters are naive college students and they make a business out of taking advantage of them. Being a local, I highly advise anyone reading this to look at other options.
