I began my relationship with Moxi about 5 months ago. Each time I've visited I've scheduled a…read moreconsultation to ensure my results were achievable and realistic. Unfortunately each time, I've been let down. After my first color appointment I let the team know that the color wasn't what we discussed (weird dark streaks, blotchy color) and they scheduled me to return with the same stylist. The second visit was moderately better but I was still surprised and what I ultimately paid (including tips both times) was significantly more than what I received. Unfortunately even with the color corrected, the toner only lasted 2 washes (I only wash my hair 1-2 times a week) so I was pretty bummed. I scheduled another visit for a toner to refresh the color a few weeks later. At this visit the toner so significantly lifted my roots that I now had three colors bands (the original roots that weren't properly addressed, the new red roots and the rest of my hair). It looked ridiculous. Before I even left the appointment I explained how unhappy I was and scheduled another full color appointment. Feeling uncertain about this next service I AGAIN scheduled a consultation. During the consultation the new stylist confirmed she could accomplish the correction of the bands and color I desired. Unfortunately the service date that was scheduled however would not accommodate the service needed. The salon was booked out for a month+ (understandable) and would not accommodate any changes to fix my hair (not understandable). I'm not being unreasonable- each visit has been worse than the last and they've made very little attempt to correct it. To add insult to injury, they cancelled the appointment I did have (partial highlight), leaving me high and dry a week before a vacation, saying I'm not a good fit for the salon and refusing any further adjustments or compensation. The salon employs junior stylists that charge a premium. Ownership has no concept of customer service. Enter at your own risk.

In total I had three visits to Moxi. I have mixed reviews. My two haircuts were perfect. However,…read moreboth times the stylist had long nails and she scratched the back of neck while washing my hair. Both times the back of my shirt got wet while getting washed because a towel wasn't put down. My third visit did not go well. It my first coloring with Moxi. I asked for a balayage and and offered my current balayage as an example. It was grown out but was still visible. I related I wanted a similar, natural looking light blonde highlighs on my natural brown hair. When finshed, I could see a clear line of blonde dye at my part. I didn't see any blending or attempt to have my highlights appear natural. I have had 4 or 5 prior Balayage's, none of them had a solid dye line. I told the stylist and good customer service was provided. The salon attempt to fix the dye. I left with a darker base black hair color and bold platinum blond highlights. I had to pay full price ($220). I cried for days because my hair looks fake and unnatural. I had chunky bold blonde patches all throughout my hair. The fix was livable but I was told will have to pay for the follow up service. A follow up was scheduled but I never went. I lost trust in the stylist and did not want to return.
