Nef was my aesthetician for my session of a Hollywood (tummy, lady bits, and bum) and underarm waxing. She was very chatty and had a wonderful bedside manner. Tucked away along Covent Garden, the Tanning Shop was the solution. I dropped in for a single tan and purchased a single packet of lotion and it only set me back about £10 or so, not pricey at all. The gentleman working there was very helpful, explaining the intensity of the booths and whatnot and advised me on how much time I should spend tanning. He didn't have me fill out any disclaimer forms, which I found a little bit surprising. They do have stand-up booths at this location and the radio in the booth allows you pass the time by listening to techno while you tan. I like that I didn't have to pay extra for the little wink eye-covers because I've been to salons where they do charge for them. It was not the most luxurious of salons, but the Tanning Shop was clean and served its purpose.

Although the cancellation is well in advance, you are not permitted to cancel online. When I attempted to cancel by phone, the person that answered informed me that only their boss can refund my deposit but they are traveling. I now have to wait to see if I hear back from the boss in order to be refunded the full deposit. Completely inefficient and this is not disclosed on the website or in the cancellation policy.

I popped in here for a 30 min Enzymatic Sea Mud Pack Treatment, a wax and a manicure…read more What can I say, except these guys are efficient, efficient efficient - in a completely good way! I started with the mud pack. The warm mud was brushed all over and then I was wrapped up for 20 minutes as the minerals were absorbed by the body. After that I was ushered to the shower down the corridor to wash off. Back into the room, I had my waxing treatment. The therapist was no-nonsense and the pain was over in minutes. There was a huge squirt tub of moisturiser in the room, which she directed me to use, whilst she went upstairs to set up for the manicure. My manicure was great. My cuticles were expertly pushed back and trimmed, nails filed and buffed, and I was given some good advice on ensuring my cuticles were kept in good shape. There were various nail colours to choose from and it was handy having a nail dryer on the table to dry one hand, whilst work was being done on the other. Overall an extremely professional and friendly place, which I would recommend, and use myself again in the future.

Ideally, you could just fly from the street directly to the treatment room so that you could avoid the mess in between.

The wax was good (hot wax) but to put it bluntly, I am still cutting out pieces of wax that "were left" (I had asked for an extended bikini wax) AND it was uneven and the woman clearly did not know how to wax a bikini other than very basically.
