if there was an option to select one star i would. i went to Argosy for grades 8,9, and half of my…read more10th grade year. those 3 years impacted me so negatively, school isn't supposed to be fun but it is supposed to be safe. i never felt safe in this school. something horrific happened to me my 10th grade year, another student traumatized me, committed a crime. if you think about it in a way of like, that's just one bad student. its really not because i had gone to my principle with hope that he would discipline him and help me recover. the dean of Argosy cares more about the reputation than their student well being. in fact he did the exact opposite, he didn't take my word for it, he didn't contact the police after saying he was going to, he favors any boys that play sports there and of course he sided with the perpetrator. i had a safety plan put in place to keep me and that student away from each other, and the dean ignored that and violated the agreements and i was left to deal with it alone. here i was thinking the dean was supposed to be someone i could look up too, don't trust him, don't trust anyone involved with argosy collegiate charter school. the only person who l believe kept me alive throughout all of this was the schools counselor. she was an angel sent human. she made me feel so cared for. but it got to a point where the bad out weighed the good and i chose to get the hell out of that school. if you have the chance to leave...leave - forever scarred student

Top notch, private, catholic high school for boys located in Warwick, RI…read more Great college prep education taught by many highly qualified teachers and alumni with some of the best sports teams in the state! Clubs for almost any interest! Older buildings but well maintained with a very nice campus. Financial aid available to those who qualify. The boys do wear uniforms including ties every day. This school is certainly worth a look if you are looking for a more challenging (and rewarding) high school for your student! Go Hawks!

This school is great for a lot of people, but it's definitely not for everybody. As you may have…read moreheard, Hendricken is a very sports forward school, and that has a substantial impact on the day to day here. For starters, I will say that the pep rallies and games are lots of fun, however it can be challenging to fit in if you aren't an athlete. Bullying is also a major problem here. Though it's not quite as widespread as I've seen in other places, the guys who do get bullied here get it pretty bad. Unfortunately, there isn't much recourse for people who are getting bullied and I think that's due in part to administrators not having their priorities straight. In my experience, they seemed to focus more on minor infractions such as dress codes and tardies than larger issues like the in-school and cyberbullying that was going on. It got so bad that I decided to make the risky decision of transferring out mid-year. (Since I left, both our theology teacher and our math teacher also had to leave for the same reason) It ended up going really well and I'm happy where I am now but it was really unfortunate, because there were a lot of things I loved about Hendricken, the pep band I was in being the absolute highlight of my time there. The last and most important thing I'll say here, is that I was raised Catholic, and as much as it pains me to say this, Bishop Hendricken High School's "Catholicism" does not remotely resemble the Catholic faith I grew up with. The public school I'm at now feels 100 times more Catholic than Hendricken, and I'm not in a very religious area whatsoever. I would not recommend this school to anybody. -Aiden D, Bristol County, R.I
