I would first of all like to say that the people that work in this establishment are just awfully…read morerude!! On site they have people waiting around with no host to greet them or to take the orders staffing issue clearly. But when they did get round to showing thier face the staff did not seem to take a liking to my female friend and only spoke to me in a provocative manner, whilst taking the order. Both inappropriate and rude! On a separate occasion I have tried to order food over the phone for a corporate group of twenty, to collect. No inconvenience there, right? The rude man started taking my order, then just left the phone off the hook, whilst laughing in the background. Who does this? I tried to call back and the call thinking the line was bad and he cancelled the call twice. Why answer at all if you don't have any tact or customer service ac cumin to deal with calls in a professional way? If a customer calls your place of work you should treat them with the same manners and respect you would if they where on the premises. I don't think the food is bad, but it is not the best, and the disrespectful, lack of manners and grace from the staff is not what you would expect from customer service. My work colleagues where very disappointed as i had promised traditional Jamaican food for our lunches. I will not be spending any more money with an establishment with such rudeness. No amount of lunchtime specials are going to compensate for your trash attitude and unprofessional conduct.

We must have got there early as we were the second group there. I thought the service initially was slow. We ordered our drinks which was served incorrectly. When we pointed this out to the waitress, she said that she would need to check with the person who took the order. I thought this was a little odd as surely you just take our word for it. It was only a soft drink error, not like she had to open a bottle of champagne or anything. It took a while for the bread to arrive which was flat bread. Some were a little too charred but nothing too dreadful. The scallops were cooked nicely and the steak ordered was cooked as requested. The portion sizes were good with none of us requiring dessert. As time went on the restaurant filled up which shows that it a popular place. I am always pleased with service when the waiting staff treat children as human beings which they did here. The restaurant is nice and bright and the waiting staff friendly.

I've been here a couple of times with my girlfriend and it has been fantastic on each occasion. On the first visit we went for the 3 course set meal and every course was amazing, especially the lobster main (their weekly special at the time). Everything was cooked perfectly, and the staff have always been very polite and attentive. The place itself is quite small (but not cramped) and it has a very nice rustic charm to it, quite dark inside but that just adds to the nice romantic atmosphere. Downstairs from the restaurant is a small wine bar that also has a very good cocktail list (most of which are potent and very tasty!) It's a perfect place to have a nice relaxing drink after your meal. Everything was reasonably priced (especially their set menus). Definitely a place I will be going to again and again.

Managed to get a late table which for this time of year was a huge positive, when we arrived the restaurant was packed, no surprise there, so they suggested we get a drink at the bar. Normally this would probably have been ok but not on NYE. If you have never been to the downstairs bar it is worth a visit, however it can get packed and as it is small getting to the bar becomes a bit of a problem, so we decided to wait upstairs where there was slightly more standing room!! We did not have to wait too long for our table and once it was wiped we were seated. Being NYE they had a set menu which had a decent selection. I was slightly disappointed as they did not have my choice of starter :( So I had to change that option but not the end of the world. For a packed restaurant surprisingly they only had two waiters, so this did slow down the service, but they did a good job considering. The food was good and the atmosphere was very good the noise from the live band downstairs was on occasion a little intrusive but I could live with it. Some people did a countdown to the new year but the restaurant staff did not as they were to busy. An enjoyable NYE meal in a restaurant I will visit again.

This venue ha no seating so if you buy from here you will either be sitting in the main Boxpark area or taking your purchase elsewhere. If you want something bread based with coffee or wine you could do worse than to try here.

What was formerly an English restaurant was gutted out and turned into a the world's smallest wine bar much to the confusion of everybody in the area but, if you build it, they will come. They have draught beers, wines and cocktails and it's never overly noisy, though it does have a buzz when it gets busy. They have some tables outside for the smokers or for some good summer drinking. They also have food but its draw is the plush surroundings and the good drinks.
