Pre Wedding: We met Christie in New Orleans at Hi Volt Cafe to "interview" for month of wedding…read moreplanning. We met mid July 2017 and our wedding was scheduled for June 9, 2018. She was recommended by a friend. Christie showed up on time and was very professional and friendly. She gave a lot of recommendations for florists, caterers, bands, etc...I was definitely being the serious questions asker while my fiancée was being friendly and chatty. Post Wedding: We we're so well taken care of and didn't want for anything- they were one step ahead of us the whole night, whatever we wanted they had already thought about it. I highly recommend you book her for your wedding. She will be a friend for life and will help you make your dream wedding come true. Below are specific topics I asked her about when we first interviewed her nine months from the wedding, then how I felt about it post Wedding. |Knowledge| She was very knowledgeable about wedding planning. So many thing we didn't even consider she talked about. Things from caterers providing servers and wait staff to pick up food, to the band/DJ doing acoustic checks while we're out doing the second line, and even having a point of contact for receiving all the items (guest book, excess alcohol/food, pictures etc..) after the weddings over. Post Wedding Knowledge: I feel a bit silly writing this now, she worked extremely well with the caterers, florist, venue owner, etc...they all gave her high praises |Professionalism| She was laid back and professional at the time time. A comfort to talk to, and work with. Post Wedding Professionalism: Top Notch! Christie was very professional. She was helpful not only to our needs, but to our guest needs as well. She always had a smile on her face :-) |Services| She talked about backup plans for any weather issues. Even though we only want a month before package, she said we can email her at anytime and ask her questions or advice. Post Wedding: Christie and her assistant Amanda were full of tips and tricks throughout the planning and the wedding pre and post ceremony. They got us tucked away in our private room after the second line with appetizers and entrees waiting for us. They knew we wouldn't be able to have quiet time together (or time to eat) during the reception. Lol they were right, thanks y'all! |Challenges| I asked about her challenges she's faced, and she told us about a time she had a second line issue. The police officers didn't want to take a canal bc they didn't want to go against traffic, and bourbon st was closed on their new route. She spoke to the police officer, he allowed them to go down canal street. Amazing story- ask her about it Post Wedding: No challenges, hot June weather with no rain. ^_^

Having no idea what to expect or how to prepare for a wedding, we were so worried that things wouldn't go according to plan, especially my mom. Hiring the pros at Mise En Place was the best thing we could have ever done. There are so many little details involved in a wedding that you would never even think of. They are organized and have the most helpful worksheets to help you get things in order. Christie and Hailey have weddings down to a science and are cool under pressure... especially when a pandemic is taking over the world. We had our wedding on March 14th which was right before COVID-19 really blew up. Days before the wedding, we had quite a few guests cancel, and I was freaking out. I immediately called Christie and she put my mind and anxiety at ease. She contacted all the vendors to ensure that they were still "on" for our big day. Most importantly, Christie and Hailey are two of the kindest people that we have ever met. They are an absolute pleasure to work with and they build lasting relationships with their clients. I see frequent Instagram posts from Mise En Place wishing their clients a "happy anniversary," or "congratulations." Mis En Place isn't for 8 hours or a month, but for a lifetime. Weddings can be so stressful but it is so important to enjoy the process, and more importantly, your big day. Mis En Place will allow you cherish the moment with your significant other on your special day which is what it is all about.

I use the word partner because that's exactly what it felt like throughout the entire planning and execution process. The team at Bacon + Fig made sure that no detail was left to the wayside and made us feel comfortable even post event. We did all of our planning from St. Louis but it never felt disconnected.
