Let me start with the positives: Honest Accurate Auto Service has an incredibly clean shop, and the…read morestaff is genuinely friendly and professional. I also really appreciated the tasty cookie they gave me when I picked up my car. From a purely customer-service standpoint, they do a great job. However, I have to give 2 stars because of their pricing and lack of transparency. I brought my vehicle in and received an estimate for a throttle body replacement. They quoted me $1,044.45 just for the part (labor was an additional $408.66). What really bothered me, in addition to the extreme markup, was the lack of information. The quote didn't specify the brand of the part being used, nor did it state whether it was brand new or a reconditioned unit. As you can see in the photos I've attached, I looked up the parts myself. I can easily purchase a brand new, OEM-quality throttle body for around $150. I understand that mechanics need to mark up parts to make a profit and cover their warranties, but a markup of this magnitude is excessive, especially without being completely transparent about what exactly the customer is paying for. Great customer service and a clean waiting room are wonderful, but they don't justify this level of markup on parts. I highly recommend doing your own research on part prices and getting a second opinion before approving any major repairs here.

Ed spent close to an hour reviewing my vehicle history and I appreciated it--he really "geeked out"…read moreon the details in a good way. He comes across as one of the last real mechanics--knowledgeable, thorough, and someone I would have trusted to work on my vehicle. His daughter later called to schedule. She said she was a mechanic. I mentioned Ed had spent a long time with me (as a compliment) and asked a follow-up question about how they'd clear out the engine, noting I had a budget. She said she didn't have enough information, which is fine, but the tone felt closed off. I said, "It doesn't seem like you want to engage in the conversation, and that's okay." She called that rude, I repeated it, and she hung up. I went in person to clear things up because I respected Ed's time. Instead, I was told I had insulted his knowledge--which is completely untrue--and was asked to leave, even after apologizing if anything came across wrong. I respect that Ed let her handle it, but the situation was misrepresented and handled poorly. Unfortunate, because my impression of him was very positive. I did walk away with enough information to pursue next steps, and Elite Auto appears equally equipped, so the time wasn't a complete loss. Based on my experience, I'd keep interactions with her limited to scheduling and work directly with Ed for anything beyond that.

I dealt…read morewith Mike who was straight forward about the repair and assured me that I would have my truck back by the end of the day. I turned in my truck at 7:30AM and had it back at 3:00PM. That is with a OEM part replacement that they ordered the same day. Mike and his team were nice enough to give me a ride back to my house and pick me up when the repair was complete. No mid-way phone calls trying to replace my cabin filter, or attempting to sell me on the latest rain guards that promise better fuel mileage. Straight forward and honest. I recommend this shop for anyone looking to get the car fixed and back on the road. (My truck is a 2015 Ford F-150 5.0 V8)

So they charged me around $300 but didn't bother asking me first or at least suggested to fix the leak first and then do the flush.... 2nd I went to other shops to inspect my belt because I was close to Christian Bother to check it out for me at the time. I kept hearing a chirp or some sort of small grind when I first start up my car before I took it in, I had my father in law check it out with me, we literally just grabbed a flashlight and checked the belt as it was running, we only saw the water pump had a wobble and even he told me "you may have 10k miles left of that water pump but go get it checked at the shop". So I did took it in and according to Christian Bothers, my belt and my pulleys are fine and they won't come apart (apparently im delusional i guess) but I trusted them and me & my wife went out of town that weekend..... My belt snapped on the way back home and overheated my vehicle.... Come to find out I need a belt, 2 idle pulleys, crossover & the waterpump. I initially had no choice but to replace some parts myself because it was too expensive to fix. I bought some tools to actually take some panels off and just inspected the damage, you can tell right away by just spinning both idle pulleys that they were done and my water pump was done too, the pulley DEFINITELY had a wobble. I contacted them asking for a refund for the diagnosis and they denied it, they swore up and down they took the belt off and properly inspected everything, they even told me that the belt damaged the pulleys when it snapped off, i would of believed them if they told me that my alternator pulley was fucked because my belt was wrapped all around it and I was afraid it messed up my alternator too, but luckily it didn't. Bottom line I spent the following Diagnosis - $140 Tow back home - $550 Water pump/pulleys/belt/hoses - $500 (I had to replace these myself to reduce my repair cost) Still need Radiator & crossover (estimated cost is $1900) Forgive me for being upset, YOU (Christian Bothers) your "sorry" isn't gonna fucking fix my car or reduce that cost of the parts I still need to replace. Maybe if it was properly diagnosed and told "hey man these need to get fixed asap"
