When you enter you're greeted with something remarkably different in tone. The first area, in this rather large establishment, can only be described as old style pub, quite appropriately named the 'Albert Bar'. This leads into a much more contemporary area know as the 'Loading Bay', occupying a hefty space to the rear. Upstairs there's the loft-style, industrial looking 'Racking Room', which in turn leads into the stately looking 'Board Room'.
As well as a well stocked bar, where cocktails and top notch coffee are made to compliment the array of draft beers and bottled drinks available, there's an extensive menu catering for everybody's tastes and budgets. Food is served all day as well as in the evenings with everything from bacon butties to Stir Fries, Welsh steaks and Brains Beer battered fish & chips. As with everywhere in Cardiff the Welsh theme is firmly represented! There's also the Fire & Sticks barbecue, in an open ground floor kitchen, to flame grill the home-grown meats. Service is informal throughout, apart from in the 'Board Room' where table service is available. Prices are generally reasonable for food, but the drinks can be pricey.
