I've seen the National Dance Company of Wales (formerly Diversions) perform all over the place but my favourite place is in their home at The Dance House in the Wales Millennium Centre, and not just because it is often press night and so I get plied with wine and canapés.
Like wildlife programmes, it is good to see performers in their natural environment, where they feel most at home, and often where the show was devised. The Dance House (Wales Millennium Centre) is a state-of-the-art building which boasts a 100 seat dance theatre known as the Blue Room. It acts as a creative laboratory for dance artists.
Led by Roy Campbell-Moore, the Dance House has already established a high quality and diverse programme of dance. As well as producing and performing their own work at the Dance House, National Dance Company Wales also encourages other performers and artists(local and international) and the general public to benefit from the excellent facilities they have at their Cardiff home. read more
