The staff are friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome. The food is good but not great but I go for the surroundings. In winter you can sit in front a roaring log fire and is summer in the peace of the garden. It does get busy of an evening. The pub runs the camping field next door but it is a incredibly peaceful pub to have a quiet lunchtime drink.
