The Mexican food from the Restauraunt is delicious and plenty. I had the chicken tacos last night and they were fantastic. Everybody was raving about their dinners. They tend to the pool and pool area so the pool is very clean and area tidy. I recommend staying at Komune.

At the time, I was given an…read moreexcellent rate for a studio room by receiving a discount for being one of the over 2100 victims involved in a then-recent accommodation company's bankruptcy on the Gold Coast. The Mantra and Breakfree properties were kind enough to offer a discount on bookings, as many people had to wind up rebooking accommodations as a result of this incident. This was much appreciated! As I arrived at the property at around 11:30 a.m., my studio room was not yet ready. The reception staff was very kind and allowed me to store my luggage until check-in. I could tell right off that this property stays very busy, which is never a bad sign. It was great to be able to explore the area until later on in the afternoon. The Mantra is in a perfect location right on the Marine Parade, centrally located to just about everything. Not to mention some of the best surf breaks in the world! Everything in the studio room, which turned out to be room 208, was in excellent working condition with no excessive wear. I did have some trouble with the wireless internet connection after I had prepaid for three days, but I cannot fault the Mantra for this, as the internet company is separate. Turns out I was able to get a partial refund with no problems. It seems like it took the hot water about two seconds longer to get hot in comparison to some of the other properties I had stayed at on this holiday, but it wasn't a big concern. Some of the amenities in the room included a powerful air conditioning/heating unit, fully-stocked kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, utensils, and just about everything one would need for a holiday. Ample closet space, queen size bed, a medium-sized balcony overlooking the courtyard (unfortunately all of the one bedroom ocean view apartments stayed constantly booked up until my arrival, but I did try!), a small ceiling-mounted television set, and a bathroom with a washer and dryer. The swimming pool, spa and barbecue areas were very modern and well-maintained. I'd definitely stay at the Mantra Coolangatta Beach again. My only regret was not being able to find a vacant ocean view unit, but I'll definitely be back. Great staff, good waves, and an overall fun area.

Well, if this place is budget then I certainly want to find similar options elsewhere. It was great, and not only that but it has pretty much all the facilities that you could expect from the place - pool, spa, restaurant, laundromat, and some quite large play areas as well. The other thing was that my room was huge, and I mean huge. I thought I would be paying through the nose for something like this, but I didn't have to pay one cent more. Sure, it was probably because it was off season, but a part of me felt that there was not such thing as off season when it came to the Gold Coast.

There was no problem with parking in the street since so little was open. It was doing a roaring trade with the TAB and the drinkers who unfortunately were smokers too. While we were eating our meals the smokers were not wandering far enough away from the eating area. The service was good and we even got a second visit when we were nearing the end of our meal to see if we were OK. Look out for discounted meals. Some motels will offer a ticket that will give you the second meal half price.

Although I'd been a visitor to the Gold Coast on several previous occasions, it was my first time in Burleigh Heads. After checking out a few properties in the area early on, a few friends and colleagues told me this property was awesome. That, in addition to the positive reviews I'd seen, gave me no hesitation to give it a try. From the first time I contacted Gemini Court all the way until the end of my 5 night stay, Kris, Annastasia and staff were very accommodating, friendly and professional. Due to numerous flight troubles from the United States, I was able to rebook reservations without any hassle or fee (it seems like that's what you get everywhere else!) I originally booked a 2 bedroom standard apartment as the rates were only slightly higher than the 1 bedrooms (I was also told the 1 bedrooms are mostly on the lower floors), but got upgraded to a 2 bedroom hinterland superior, so I really lucked out! Keep in mind that this property is situated on a hill, so you'll get ocean views just about anywhere you are on it. Check-in was effortless and I was in apartment 20 in the back tower within minutes. I was completely blown away at the size and layout of the apartment: it was completely renovated and had brand new modern furnishings including a lounge room with a multi-section leather sofa, huge flat panel television, awesome artwork on the walls, laundry, two balconies, air conditioning in separate rooms, great views of the hinterland and courtyard, just about everything one could imagine. Huge dining table and kitchen with bar counter and stools, fully equipped with modern appliances. Everything in the apartment was fully functional and very clean. I had no problems whatsoever during my 5 night stay. It appeared that each unit had a separate wireless internet router vs. one internet hotspot for the whole property - definitely a plus for connectivity, and I must mention that the wireless internet rates at Gemini Court were the lowest I encountered anywhere on the Gold Coast during my two week holiday. This was much appreciated, as I had to stay in constant contact with co-workers and family during my trip. I believe there was also an internet kiosk/business center on the property for those that don't have laptops. Being a surfer, I was also very impressed to learn that Gemini Court is home to a forecasting wave camera that's tied in with a major surf forecasting company in Australia. Not to mention there's a world-class point break right at the front door! It was great being close to the beach, Burleigh Heads National Park, and the many shops and restaurants in the area. Staying on the hinterland side of the property was great - lots of views of brush turkeys, kookaburras and other wildlife. The heated swimming pool, spa, sauna and barbecue area were very well laid out and gave great views of Burleigh Beach. Landscaping and upkeep throughout the property seemed great. I'd recommend this property to anyone visiting the Gold Coast. Great waves, friendly people, and an all-around fun area.
