This is officially my favorite place to enjoy seafood "in the bag way." I've tried two different places but this one is superior by far. My go to is always the shrimp with a few potatoes and maybe some corn on the cob as well. The sauce I gravitate to is the garlic or whatever garlic they have. The servers are awesome. The place is poppin' and so it is most enjoyable to eat your meal here. Fat and juicy shrimps by the way. So just a reminder if you're a first timer in this type of restaurant. The food here i.e the seafood will come to you in a plastic bag. A half pound or a whole pound of whatever sea creature you desire. Served to you piping hot. Your table will be a mess. But I promise you this. You. Will. Have. Fun! Bring a big group and you will have more fun! YOU WILL NEED YOUR HANDS TO EAT HERE. You will use your bare hands. Although their menu was limited with what I'm assuming is the Christmas rush, we got the calamari and boil with snow crab, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn with fried rice with crawfish. MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT EVER I almost don't want to write this review and share my favorite hidden gem with everyone -- but I feel like it's my duty as a foodie. It's difficult for me to ever go to a different restaurant now, because this place is so good. And cheap. Where else are you going to find delicious clusters of dungeness crab for $8-$9 / pound? And the best crawfish ever? I've come here so many times and absolutely GORGED myself on crab and crawfish and clams. And together with beer, I've still paid under $100 for 2-3 people. That's unheard of. Their ALL-IN SAUCE is absolutely amazing and spicy and full of huge chunks of garlic. I highly recommend trying it. Definitely go for the mild if you don't like spicy, and for the medium if you do. The XXX is a little much and drowns out the flavor of the crab anyway. WHAT TO GET: Here's my usual order that I get every time I come here (and whenever we bring friends): 1. One-two orders of dungeness crab clusters in the all-in sauce (mild or medium) 2. One-two orders of the crawfish in the all-in sauce (and add some whole potatoes, corn on the cob, and sausage) 3. I have been here a few times when they still had the old menu and the old prices. Now it's they charge money even for the small things like ketchup! I used to get the shrimp basket and it came with fries was 7.99 now it's 9.99 just for shrimp and another 3 bucks for fries. It used to cost me about 15 bucks including tip for my meal! I guess not anymore For that price you might as well just go to red lobster and get some biscuits with your meal and a salad. The other couple that was next to us was definitely more upset over the prices and almost walked out. If I am not mistaken Robin opt to have the Garlic Butter Snow Crab Cluster and Beer as part of her beverages. About 15 to 20 minutes waiting for our food, that Fried Platter arrived at our table. The Fried Platter is HUGE, aka meaning you can share between 2 or 3 friends. I did not expect it to be that HUGE, so I share it with Robin. Yes, it was FRIED sprinkled with Cajun Seasoning. I remember driving by and thinking, " Hey, this is a place like Hot 'n Juicy Crawfish in Las Vegas." I am sad to say, it is not. I read the reviews and really wanted to give this place a try because I like to give everyone a chance. I was meeting a coworker after work and I was running a bit late. The booth we sat in was quite spacious and we ample view of all the surrounding tvs. I'm sure I could watch Sesame Street in there if I wanted. I ordered my pound of shrimp and got the All-In sauce medium based on the server's, (Stacey, Lacey, Kelsey???) recommendation. I told her I really like spicy and I can take hot. I will touch on that later. My coworker ordere the snowcrab as the Dungeness crab was out. She ordered it with no sauce and just butter on the side. I also had her add the corn and potatoes for extra munchies. Our food came quickly, and after we got it, I realized I wanted to try the cajun fries based on the reviews. I ordered them when our food came and asked the server to put the hot sauce on the side. I told her I would pay for it. she quickly interrupted me and said we can't do it. I said what do you mean you can't do it. She said she can only put in orders that are in their system and that wasn't an option in the system. I said, "Great. Let me talk to your manager." After going back and forth for about a minute as to how she doesn't have a manager there, I demanded the name of the owner. After that, our server did not wait on our table but the other 2 (a gentleman and another young lady) did. The past reviews were right about the lacking in service. They ended up getting busy around 7 pm and seated the new tables promptly. My co-worker ran out of water and had to ask for a fork, but after that, they treated us well. My coworker didn't like that she wasn't offered gloves. The FOOD: My shrimp was cooked whole and hard boiled. The sauce had great flavor but it was not spicy enough for me. I liked the chunks of garlic. Next time, if there is one, I will try their hottest. My co-worker said her snowcrab was alright. She said the butter tasted like movie theater butter. The cajun fried were hot but not very flavorful. Maybe because I didn't get the sauce I requested on the side. The only thing saving this restaurant from a 1.5 star review is the fact that the male server came over and apologized for his fellow server's behavior and said the custoemr is always right and he would've handled our request differently. He acknowledged their system was whack but he would've worked with the kitchen to get what I wanted because at the time we ordered, they were slow. Kudos brah! I'm very excited to have discovered this place because I haven't had Cajun style seafood in Denver ever since I moved here a couple of summers ago. I'm from San Jose, CA where places like these (Boiling Crab, Kicking Crab, Claw Shack, etc.) are extremely plentiful so eating this stuff is at least a monthly norm for me. I enjoyed the cute decor & booths that were made to look like part of the ship. I got to sit at the wheel of the ship which was fun because it was an elevated two-seater booth. I ordered Cajun fries medium spice level, 1 lb of shrimp with the original sauce at a mild spice level, 1 lb of snow crab for around $25 with the same sauce & spice level, a side of rice for under $2 and two corn on the cobs for $0.99. I will order a spice level of medium next time because I didn't feel enough kick from the mild level. The medium fries were also not spicy to me. They're regular thin fries with Cajun seasoning on them. I enjoyed them because they weren't too greasy. I thought that the original sauce was slightly saltier than the other sauces I've tried at similar restaurants. It was still overall very tasty & wasn't as salty when you ate the seafood with rice. They don't automatically give you a side of lime the way they do at Boiling Crab but they have it upon request. You have to be prepared to get really messy since you're eating all this seafood with your hands. I saw others who had gloves but I am unsure if they were provided or if the customers brought it themselves. The restaurant provides you with the crab crackers and a bib and plenty of napkins. Other menu items they offer include oysters for $13 a dozen, sausage, Cajun rice, fresh crawfish (which were sold out when I was there) and frozen crawfish. I personally don't care too much for crawfish because it's a lot of work for little reward. I'd highly recommend the gloves because the stench of the sauce lingered on my hands for a day despite washing it a bunch of times. The smell also lingers in your hair and clothes so don't come here prior to some special first date or event where you cannot afford to smell. Absolutely SEAFOOD HEAVEN. My husband and I were craving Asian Cajun/seafood boil and decided to take the trek from up north. They have a good selection of seafood, including a variety of crab, lobster, shrimp, and crawfish as well as options for add-ins such as corn, sausage, etc. Unfortunately, they didn't have fresh crawfish due to a holiday, so that was kind of a bummer. Besides that, our waitress was super friendly and even explained to us the different "flavors" of the crab. We decided to go with the snow crab clusters and shrimp. For sauce, we went with the all-in, which is a mix of all their flavors, mild spice. We also got a couple snow crab clusters steamed to really taste the crab. Everything was absolutely delicious! The seafood was hot, cooked perfectly, and the sauce was so good! Everything was super flavorful with a nice added kick of spice. Seafood tasted super fresh and the size of the crab and shrimp was pretty big/meaty. For being landlocked, I was impressed by everything we ordered. My family and I ate here 3 times total within our two months of living in Colorado so far. My toddlers (2, 2, and 3) are sort-of picky eaters but they always eat whatever we order for them here, which makes my husband and I VERY happy. Hubby and I enjoy the "all-in" xxx (super spicy) crawfish quite a lot. The chicken tenders are also quite tasty compared to any chicken tenders I've ever tried haha. Their Cajun fries are also good to munch on too! The only downside is that they now charge for extra ketchup and srircha sauce, which tempts us bring in our own. I've been to a few different restaurants with the same concept and this has to be the one I liked the least. One of the things that I noticed is that you have to order the food by the pound. Some of the similar places let you order by the half pound for some of the items. Another thing that I found disappointing is that the fried "baskets" don't come with anything aside from the basket item. No drink, fries or any side come with the fried baskets. I ended up ordering a lb of crawfish with the All-In seasoning. The prices are typical of what you would find at any of the other places, but the quality wasn't there for me. For example I always go with clams (ALL SEAFOOD IS MARKET PRICE AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE). You also have to decide how much you want. They go by the lbs (pound). Second you pick your flavor. There is Steamed (melted butter on side), Rajun Cajun (original), Lemon Pepper, Garlic Sauce (MY FAV), and the All In (Mixed All Together). Third, you pick how spicy you want your food. There is Non Spicy (My Choice Because I Can't Handle The Spiciness), Mild, Medium, and XXX (BEWARE). You can also choose to add extra sides such as corn on the cob, potatoes, or sausages. If you do decide to come, always ask for Khanh (pronounced like Con) or Tony... my two favorite servers!! My favorite part is the decor, the fun "under the sea" theme is cute without being too tacky. As it is Cajun food, prepare to get down and dirty. They will provide the gloves and bibs, I highly recommend using them. We came here on a Wednesday evening, the place wasn't too packed. For 2 people, we got: a pound of the clams in lemon pepper mild a pound of the shrimp in garlic mild a cluster of snow crab in rajun cajun medium 2 orders of cajun fries (1 medium, 1 mild) We added potatoes, corn, and sausage (which you can decide which bag you want to put it in). This was more than enough. We took some home. I really enjoyed the corn and sausage, they soaked up the flavors nicely. As for the sauce, I honestly couldn't taste the difference. Same with the spicy level, the two orders of fries tasted the same in spiciness. Overall, a fun place, but nothing too memorable. This place is a Very busy location, I read the reviews and thought this would be the best ever. It took almost 50 mins to be seated, but that's our fault for going out on Easter. We Finally got seated in a booth and loved our view of all the tv's. We watched some other families that sat at the exact same time as us, it only took 1-2 mins for their waiter to greet them but It took almost 12 mins for our waitress to come to us and ask us if we wanted something to drink. (By the way, this was the only time we ever saw our waitress the rest of the night except for when she brought our check). By the time she showed up, we were pretty hungry and we already knew exactly what we wanted. The food came out very fast, but was Just barely warm We got the all in, mild seasoning (wrong answer, get at least the medium seasoning). It was very plain with no spice AT ALL! The part we most definitely didn't like was, you have to pay for the corn, the sausage and anything extra like butter. They nickel and dime ya here! Food was average, service was horrible. Our waitress must have been very busy, after giving us our food, she never came back to ask us anything or attempt to fill up our waters. Out of town visitors craving some Cajun (like a past Cali yelp review) and we found some 5 miles from our stay!Parking lot was packed, but everywhere has been in Denver. The wait time was 30 minutes at 8pm (line almost out the door). We decided to wait since we were already there.. I realized we were around some interesting people and may possibly be in the hood. Tvs played America's funniest home videos on screens from every corner of the restaurant. I think they researched what would keep kids and families entertained and this was the proven winner. It was elbow to elbow packed with children and adults alike. Quick tip if you've never been, THEYLL GIVE YOU GLOVES to eat with (must be requested) which we didn't realize since they weren't offered and no one around us had their food yet. So they we are 1/2 way into our 2 pounds of king shrimp dumped all over the table w the juicy sauces dripped all over our hands, arms and faces, necks tied with bibs...and no gloves lol... People around us start to get their food, we see them request gloves. And we start to feel a little sloppy. (Also no wet naps at the end of meal). We wetted our napkin with water and cleaned up after waiting 20 minutes on someone to notice we needed a ticket. Not sure if the shrimp cooked too long or not long enough but very difficult to peel. Corn was good! One of the BEST oysters on the 1/2 shell I've ever had! I also liked I saw one of your waitresses could speak three languages! This place was sooo good. The atmosphere and decor of the place was cool. We had just flew into Denver and was starving and this place was by our Air Bnb. Since it was a Friday night, they told us we had about a 45min wait which was to be expected. To our surprise we got called after only 20 min of waiting. Our server was suuuuper awesome, got our orders perfect even though there was 6 of us and we ordered a lot. It was messy but I think that is the point haha. Food was quick and tasted soooo good. When friends asked about going to the crawling crab I was excited as I had heard great things about the seafood in a bag restaurants. You get to choose from multiple types of seafood and they are charged by the pound or cluster. There are several types of sauce or all-in which combines them all together. For spice there is none, mild, medium or xxx. The medium has some heat but not very hot at all. My wife and I ordered a pound of shrimp with all-in seasoning medium spice and king crab legs (2 legs per order) and got them steamed. We also added corn (2 pieces) potatoes (2 new potatoes) and sausage (6 pieces) to the shrimp. We started with sweet potato fries which were made to order and hot and fresh when brought out.
