A nice bar, specialising in "craft beers" (a rather ill-defined term, some of them are real ales, some keg brews with unusual flavouring; some made by micro-breweries, others at larger outfits as experimental brews).
Beer is in general quite expensive and rather strong (beer duty tends to make these go together), though being able to buy in 1/3, 1/2, 2/3 or pint measures helps, especially when trying something unusual that may not appeal by the bottom of the glass.
Decor is interesting: the seating which looks to be made from old barrel staves (not sure if it actually is though) is more comfortable than it looks.
Can be difficult to find somewhere to stand at weekends without getting in the way, due to the central bar with a relatively narrow gap between it and the back of the room. read more
