In the half hour we spent shopping in Booth 1981, we made purchases that ran the gamut of time and interest: antique sugar molds, bracelets, iPhone accessories, and wreaths made from findings in nature. Shopping is easy and comfortable here; lots of room to walk around. My friend was using a walker, and she was able to move without fear of bumping into things. Other areas feels like a maze and quite disorganized. It was still interesting to walk through. I tend to associate this part of town with religious junk, cutesy crap, and tacky craft malls posing as "antiques" places. We'd come to this part of town to eat at the Diaz restaurant just two or three doors to the east of Allenton Interiors, else we'd most likely never have found this place. Parking can be less than ideal here, so think ahead and park along Peniel or one of the other adjacent streets.

So this place was an exciting find as our first stop on this adventure even though I've never appreciated any antiques before. The store is much bigger than I anticipated and has so many corners branching off to an array of eye boggling gems all very well displayed in a marvellously organised chaos. I was not raised in the US but I can see bits of my childhood in England in quite a number of items. There are endless cool stuff, from retro kitchenwares to toys, furnitures, gardening gadgets, and even clothes! Prices are surprisingly reasonable too! There were a couple of pieces of furnitures we especially loved but they were marked as "sold" so I guess we need to drop by and take a gander at new inventory every once in while. If you love antiques, or even if you don't love antiques like me but curious to just browse, this is the place to head to. The husband picked up a couple of LPs and he was pretty chuffed!
