Child care during service is available. All ages can be involved in the church. Currently there are three people who preach. The lead pastor is Scott Longyear. He grew up in the Terre Haute area, and tends to relate the easiest to the parishioners because he is from the area. This is a very large church with a large following. To get the most out of the church people are encouraged to get involved within the church.

I was immediately impressed by the worship team and slide shows that went along with the service. The visiting preacher was funny and light hearted and preached directly from scripture. I think if you were theologically moderate or a little conservative this is probably a good fit for you. However, they have great children's ministries and a Hispanic service and tons of college outreach so there's definitely great ministries for everyone. There is complementary coffee upon entering and age-appropriate areas for little kiddos and older kiddos. I haven't heard the main pastor preach yet, so I will let you know later. We plan on coming back at least once a month. Overall, mainly, I will return for the fabulous worship music and to worship with family.

As a spirit filled church no 2 services /meetings are the same. You'll definitely leave different than you came; in the best way! There's also so many smiling faces and warm hugs that await you. My husband and I have been here going on 2 years. We have worked closely with many of the ministry leaders and can testify every department is ran with excellence. They are intentional about reaching every generation with the Gospel. And of course a church is only as good as it's leadership and Pastor and Sis. Tami Harpole are as real and caring as it gets. When my wife were deliberating about moving to Terre Haute, for the sole purpose of attending New Life, we decided to make the decision based on the people and not our family. Family is also consistent and a great reason on its own, but the amazing attitude and kindness of the people was what really convinced us to make this our home. This is an Apostolic, Pentecostal church so you can expect great music, with a mix of Contemporary Worship and Black Gospel. People that generally don't like church and those that have different church backgrounds come together and both love it. I don't know much about this church other than how kind they are. My husband and I were out…read morerunning errands when we saw someone holding up a sign for a $1 car wash. We figured we needed to get the car washed anyway, and this way we could support whatever local group was holding it.We had no idea who the Car Wash benefited at first, they offered us water as we waited for our turn. There were some very adorable little kids helping that were cute to watch. When they were done with our car a gentleman approached the window. As we were about to hand him $5, he handed us a dollar and a card thanking us for letting them serve us. It was a crazy experience that has still stuck with me. Instead of raising money for their church they were out there serving their community. It seems like a great group of individuals.
