It has recently opened as a bakery / cafe where all the produce is baked on the premises and is of an amazingly high quality.This makes it a good place to enjoy a refreshing cuppa while catching up with the local goings on and somewhere to write the card which you have purchased and then post it there and then. The staff are very friendly and even think about those four legged friends as there is always a bowl of fresh drinking water outside the premises for them to quench their thirst after that walk along the shore.The outside is quite picturesque with lots of colourful hanging baskets. It is very much a village Post Office with all that this conjures up.

The reason it is my favourite of all post offices is that it is chilled, relaxed and has a really friendly atmosphere. For instance I was in the other day I had two letters to post, I was in there for less than 5 minutes and was offered a Hob Nob, now this doesn't happen everywhere I go. The service is exceptional and the post office is always well stocked and although small has everything you could possibly need. The post office also doubles as a cash machine for many bank and this is pretty handy in a village that doesn't possess a free cash machine, I think they want to keep you here, if you have no money there is no way out. To be honest I would stay just for Lovely little Millisle Post Office.

This is my nearest Post Office located as it is within a newsagents shop and a busy shop at that…read moreso, at times, it can be quite congested within the shop with post office customer's queue getting in the way of people trying to select their paper(s) but in the end it all works out. Easy parking near the door (supermarket carpark shared). With the threat of more sub offices to close, I would not like this one to go, it's much too convenient and I have used it for years so come on everybody support these local buinesses. I have always got good, friendly and efficient service and advice here.

The reason for my visit today was to tax my new car (a necessary evil) and I had been worried that I wouldn't be able to as the car dealer had not given me the current MOT certificate. As it turned out, the system has changed and the post office are now able to check the MOT online so the certificate is no longer needed to get the tax. I was also surprised to find that the post office no longer closes early on a Saturday and stays open all day until 5.30pm just like any other working day!

That's how its been for some years now but, that being said, there's plenty of parking available the office itself is a good size, usually 3 or 4 windows open. Handily enough you can use the supermarket trolleys to transfer large and heavy parcels to and from your car therefore gets my vote for convenience in those circumstances.
