Located on a small street on the other side of Karlstad station. Small, casual place with basic decor. Our large group booked the whole restaurant and had a buffet setup. Food: Top notch; had vegetable korma, palak paneer, daal (lentils), chicken tikka masala, naan, rice, and papad. All were well seasoned and had the perfect amount of heat. Service: Excellent; each table had pitcher of water that was regularly refilled. Buffet items were replenished nearly seamlessly. Owner even provided extra dessert (rice pudding) on request. Bottom Line: Worthy of being featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Drives. Don't be fooled by the unassuming appearance of the restaurant - big flavors and great service at this joint.

We had to get there pretty early in the morning, so we missed the breakfast buffet back at the hotel. That meant we were feeling rather peckish after our extensive security check-in. In the middle of the international terminal was this kiosk. It was surrounded by quite a display case filled with crushed ice with a variety of ready-made seafood options. Jamie was relieved to see a poke bowl fit for a transplanted Californian, the 165 NOK ($15.40 US) Poke Bowl Med Laks, which featured a huge slab of fresh salmon on top of a bed of greens mixed with avocado, cucumber, mango, shredded carrot, leeks, and edamame with a soy dressing (photo: https://bit.ly/3T0U5tF).
