    Orchid Room At Miller Preserve

This past Sunday I had my baby shower at the Orchid Room and it was perfect! The space is gorgeous…read moreand everyone raved about how beautiful the shower was. The shower started at 12pm and we were able to get into the room at 11am. We were scrambling to get everything done until the last minute but it all worked out. An hour and a half to set up might have been more ideal but that's okay, we had a lot of people helping. We were able to bring in our own food which was nice. They do no allow alcohol, fyi. Otherwise, I would have done mimosas or "mom-osas" for myself. ;) We also brought in our own linens. The room rental for 4 hours was $200 and that also allowed guests to check out the butterfly house that same day. There were not butterflies since it was January but we did see the parrot and a lot of cool plants. I would highly recommend this space to others. We had around 55 people at the shower and I would say you wouldn't want to have more than 60 guests to fit the space comfortably.

This used to be the Irish Heritage Center but was bought by Ahern's and renovated. The top…read morepriorities for me when choosing a wedding reception site were: 1) convenient location for my guests, 2) classy, comfortable space, 3) really good food (it's really a glorified DINNER party, isn't it?!?), and 4) competent staff. Ahern's is all of these things and they made our reception this past February truly fantastic. Lucy is the no-nonesense, very capable manager. She essentially served as our personal party planner before and during the event and took care of everything, communicating with the other vendors (DJ, photographer, florist, etc.) and making sure the party continued to progress so we could just sit back and enjoy our guests. Aherns is their own caterer and can do either a sit-down meal or buffet (or cocktail reception) with almost endless entree options. We went with the buffet and an open bar so guests could enjoy as much or little as they wanted and it worked perfectly. I think we were pretty low key but did have a few special requests and they were professionally executed by the staff. There are two banquet halls of different sizes but they have separate entrances and bathrooms and a service hallway runs between them so you wouldn't even notice if another event was happening during yours. The halls are already very elegant so we didn't spend any money on decorating other than flower centerpieces but the space could certainly accommodate any over-the-top additions you might want.

Kept it cool the entire night, plenty of space for guests, friendly staff, and the food was SO good. It's hard to find good catered wedding food. From the veggie and potato to the chicken beef, there was not a single complaint. Lucy supervised and helped out all night. She's amazing and I'm so appreciative of her help to make my wedding amazing!

I visited this park on Friday, 5 July 2024 at 5pm for an outdoor wedding. Bain Park also has a…read morecabin that is available for rent. Chairs were placed outside in a slightly wooded area with trees. Due to rain that started as soon as my friend, the bride, walked down the aisle, the wedding ceremony was cut extremely short. The whole ceremony took about 5 minutes because of the rain. After the ceremony, we all took cover under the white gazebo for about 20 minutes. Then, everyone proceeded to the cabin in the park where dinner would be served. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay for dinner but I briefly entered the building/cabin however, I didn't see much because I had to leave. It was most likely set up with tables and chairs for dinner. Regarding having a simple wedding here, it looks like alot of people do host weddings here. Give them a call at 440-356-4444 if you want an indoor wedding in the cabin or an outdoor wedding in the wooded area outside. I've only been here once so a 3/5 rating is fair. **** GOAL of 150 reviews in 2024 - 55/150 total reviews in 2024 - 705 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 6 July 2024

While parking was included in the hotel fee (YAY!), the garage was not attached and was a hike away. While I was able to park and unload (leaving my stuff unattended inside) before heading to the garage when checking in - I had to lug all my stuff to the garage when I was leaving. The hotel staff was polite in answering my question about the credit card I had used to swipe into the garage - and the pass they gave me to get out. Room was lovely and big. We are 2 double bed people. There were beds and also a sitting area. And the usual amenities - fridge, coffee maker, etc. Bathroom was clean and linens plush. TV was nice and swiveled to watch from around the room. Wifi was a bit challenging. Fitness room looked nice but didn't get to use it as it was a short stay for me. Breakfast was nice - one of the better options you'll see when included with the room. They actually checked you in the serving room as I guess all guests are not eligible for it. Location is nice - we walked to dinner across the street. And it's right off the freeway. This is in my old hometown but the area was undeveloped when I was growing up. If you're looking for a place to stay - highly recommend except for the parking issue.
