I love this place! If you're looking for cheap jewelry or brand name clothes at a low price this is where you want to shop. You don't have to worry about rummaging through clothes that are obviously worn at this store. The clothes are in new to almost new condition. The owner of this store is very friendly and makes sure you understand the deals and the layout of the store right when you enter. Ex. Things that are more than 1 month old gets a bigger discount price. There's something here for every price range. If budget is less than $10 for jewelry or clothes there will be something for you. The owner is rude and accusatory. She also reminded me of cameras and even went to far to say that something was missing the last time I was there and that she assumed I took it. I did enjoy stopping by there from time to time but I dislike her attitude. Even dropped off some clothes. Omg the rant she goes through as if people are in grade school. Her prices on the same items change from day to day and now it appears she is less of a consignment shop and trying to push her own goods. Go to Burlington. The owner of the store was so rude and insulting . as soon as I walked in she reminded me that there are cameras everywhere and that she can know if anything is stolen. Which I don't understand what her point is in telling her customers this. When I told her she was rude she kept telling me i was uncomfortable and that it's my problem. She also asked the other customers in the store if they had agreed with what she was saying to me . I don't know how she is in business but I assume it's because she is rarely there . She also reminded me that she remembered I was there a while back and I asked for her to hold something because I didn't have money meanwhile I only asked to hold it so I can get my money from my job .she said this all in front of other customers . I am disgusted! I was upset because it is not ok to embarrass your customers ! For a whole year I have receipts of spending 20-50 dollars there every Saturday ! I don't know if it was my ethnicity or she is just a rude person ! I am so upset I ever spent a dollar in that store. Shop owner was rude, unprofessional & condescending before I even made it all the way through the door! First rule of business; NEVER insult your customer! This woman sized me up in one instant & must've determined that I could not possibly own any designer clothing/accessories! Apparently she didn't see me pull up in my Mercedes nor could she see that I was outfitted head to toe in designer labels wearing my NYDJ camo jeans, Free People top and Tory Burch tote & sunglasses! Perhaps it was my Chuck Taylor slip on sneakers that led her to believe that I was young & naive or somehow beneath her??? Second rule; always greet your customer with a smile & an introduction of yourself; welcome them to your establishment; ask if this is their first visit or first time consigning. This woman did none of that! Instead she made the mistake of addressing me with a patronizing "sweetheart" & "honey!" She barked orders at me to put my bags on the bench...then she told me to "back up" and away from my items so that she could look them over. Her response to seeing my 3 large shopping bags was to tell me that she only takes 10 items at a time, to which I replied, "yes, I read your list of rules on your website but I wasn't sure if you were taking jeans now since it clearly stated you were no longer taking winter clothing (despite jeans being an all-weather item) so I brought other things just in case (mostly shoes & accessories in boxes which took up lots of space)." And as if her rude exchange with me wasn't enough she says, "yes I'll look at jeans but they have to be current & cute and designer labels like Free People and 7 (SFAM)." Unfortunately for her, she never got to see the jeans that I had which included, 7 (SFAM), Paige, True Religion, Hudson and others...ALL designer! I don't shop in Chicos or Talbots bc I am in my mid-40's!!! However, my 75 yr old mom does! Apparently, this is her customer! First thing she picked up was a terrycloth short sleeved Juicy hoody & matching knee length capris that she told me were winter wear! Meanwhile, I bought this outfit in the spring in Las Vegas at the Juicy Boutique in Caesar's Palace! Granted it was, like, 10 years ago, but to be fair, I only wore it once and I have seen the Juicy label reappear in Marshall's recently. She told me the Juicy Couture label was outdated (I don't disagree). So why does she have a photo of ugly Juicy graffiti sneakers here on this site? Hmmmm... I also saw photos that she added this month (April) of SWEATERS which contradicts her "no winter wear rule! Unreal! Point is, there is always someone who will want it! After all, "one man's trash is another man's treasure!" Also, it is made of TERRYCLOTH!; the very fabric that they make pool towels & cover-ups from! Well, I had had enough of her dismissive attitude and decided to take my items elsewhere. I guess I learned a lesson to stick to what you know and if something feels wrong, to trust your gut! I should have read her website more carefully bc this woman considers White House Black Market; Bebe; Express; Gap & The Limited to be on the "high end" of fashionl! That's funny! I personally don't shop in the mall nor have I stepped foot in any of these stores since high school! This woman wouldn't know couture from ready to wear! She really missed out bc in my 3 bags, I was willing to part with a Chanel bag (with dust bag), a straw Tory Burch summer tote w/ metallic straps; a black, leather Gucci belt with gold G logo buckle (w/ dust bag), Guccisima sunglasses (in original case), tall Burberry rainboots, a pair of black scrappy Manolos, a Swiss Legend watch and several pairs of shoes ALL in mint condition & in their original box with dust bags (Cole Haan, Martinez Valero, BCBG), most worn once for a specific event! For the record, the shop is tiny, smells of mildew and after a quick scan of her inventory I can tell you that there is no couture to be had! She, however feels differently bc on my way out the door she says, "I've been doing this for a long time sweetheart. I know what sells." Do not waste your time people! Go see Maya at Luxury Labels in Manalapan or make the trip to Shrewsbury to see Jen & the Couture Crew at The Couture Exchange. I promise you, you will NOT be disappointed! read more
