Right away the lady (Lowe) asked me varies of questions, especially about my race to determine how to handle my curl. She was very knowledgeable and gave good pieces of advice. It did take a long time to cut my hair, the whole process was more than 4 hours, but I was so pleased with the result. I couldn't believe I didn't find this place sooner. The best part was she was very honest and didn't try to shove products on your face to get more profit. She was very attentive to detail and handle my hair strain by strain, very patience indeed. She was also lovely to talk to. I highly recommend this hair salon if your curls need some love. Seriously ^^

I had a shampoo and condition and they took the time to really massage my head. That was such a nice surprise. My hair is very thick and straight and not everyone believes me when I tell them just cut it so that I don't have to do anything with it. Most don't know how to deal with it. I was lucky that these folks do! It is a very easy cut and I know with a sweep of my hand over it it will be right where it needs to be :) Now bring money and plenty of it. The bill was 880.00DK. I heard pricey, but ok even more than I thought. I figured with all the other Frisor shops around prices would be cheaper. Heehee silly me! All good! They are both super professional and make you feel comfortable that they know what they're doing with your hair. I've had long hair for pretty much my whole life, and decided to cut my hair to shoulder length by Carina. This was a big deal for me as my hair was way down my back. I knew I wanted to go to someone I trusted to do a good job, and Carina did an amazing job. The interior inside Tryllesaksen is really nice. They also only use the best products on the market for your hair.

Yep, I got recommended by Mina K about this place and honestly I wondered why didn't I come any sooner? I have been relying on the 11-hour jet trip back home to Indonesia annually to fix my hair (including the chemical straightening), but surely there's a place in Copenhagen that could do the same job without emptying my bank account? Here comes Camilla into the picture, she does magic with her knife and scissor wielding-hands, although she was a lot less scarier than Edward Scissorhands. As I have witnessed how fantastic Mina K's haircut is, surely she could do mine as well. Once I arrived to the place, slightly scared about coming out later with butchered hair, I was offered some drinks and the floor manager Zeus also went out to greet me and sniff my shoes (yes, Zeus is a dog :P and the floor manager title is brilliant, because that's what he does, lounging on the floor...) Camilla listened what I wanted and as I asked for her opinion as well (because my idea of hair-styling is pretty much nonexistent) and she suggested things that would work on my wild, thick and bushy hair. She stopped now and then to make sure that I approved her moves 100% and I never felt safer to trust the fate of my head on her hands (insert GoT jokes here). All in all, it was a very pleasant experience - I was never a big chatter with hairdresser and it wasn't awkward that way either. She asked a few times if I was happy with my hair, or did she need to trim more (since I wanted much shorter hair than my previous Tarzan-state). In the end she gave me a stamp card that you'd get your fifth haircut with 50% discount (very important in pricey Denmark) and that everything could be fixed by a phonecall or online booking. Now I know that I could always trust Camilla to fix my hair. I just hope that she's not moving anywhere anytime soon (this - somehow always happen to all my hairdressers :/ )

But once I find a good salon, I stick with them... and I think I found that with Chill Organic. In my opinion, there are 2 types of bad hairdressers (I'm sure there are more, but these are the 2 that I've experienced). One that gives you whatever cut you want, without giving their professional input, and you end up with a cut that you saw in a photo that you THOUGHT you wanted. But then afterwards, you realize the cut doesn't suit your face and you're stuck with haircut that you don't like. Then there's the other, a hairdresser that completely ignores whatever you say and gives you whatever cut he/she wants to give you. (Yes, it happens). Fortunately for me at Chill Organic, they give you the perfect balance of giving you the cut you want but also giving their professional input on what would work/look best for you. They really work with you every step of the way to ensure that they're giving you the cut you want but also working with your specific hair type in order to get the best results. I like when hairdressers offer their input (apparently, some people don't). I may know my own hair, but they're the professionals and I like to be able to trust my hairdresser to give his/her honest opinion on what will work and not work for me. And that's what I got at Chill Organic. The salon itself is in a great location, right on the main street. It's not a huge salon so it's a very hygge setting. The decor is minimal and sleek. They use all organic products (that smell amazing, btw). The hairdressers were incredibly friendly and their "Office Manager," Zeus, is so freaking adorable! Coming from the US, their prices may seem a bit steep, but I think for the service and quality of the haircut, Chill Organic is worth it.

At least that's the kind of experience I have gotten the past 9 years I have been trying to find the perfect hairdresser here with the result that I strive to cut my hair only in my home country - once a year, that is. A yelper - (fellow Asian Signe S) recommended this place since the top stylist Naja Kim is also an Asian. Now now, I am not trying to discriminate or anything, but I absolutely need to have another Asian (or someone who has knowledge of how Asian hair works - instead of complaining about it - like a hairdresser I knew here in Copenhagen) to cut my hair. Already when I stepped into the bright hair salon in Vesterbro (just across my favourite pho place, what are the odds!) I already felt welcomed. The "bouncer" beagle named Easy was super charming and welcoming :P and the staff were so accommodating. You could choose which stylist is your preference when you book time online and I chose Naja Kim herself who was very thorough in her explanation of what she was going to do with my hair. It was also a surprise that she did everything (including hair washing) herself (in other places, even the so-called "organic" salon I know in Copenhagen, they only sprayed my hair to make it wet instead of actually washing it). She was very patient and accommodating and made sure that everything just like I wanted it. I recommend Naja Kim to all the lost Asians in Copenhagen who have constantly bad hair day thanks to Scandi stylists who have no clue how to cut Asian hair. Try her!

Got a haircut here on impulse after seeing their impressive instagram feed. Not only that Trine did…read morean amazing job with the cut, she also suggested improvisation to the original idea that I had in mind, thus the final outcome was even better than I had expected. She's very observant and gave me a haircut that really suits my personality. My hair was styled using Kevin Murphy products. It's rather expensive, perhaps the most expensive haircut I've ever had, but you get what you pay for. All in all I'm very pleased and will not look further for another frisør if I'm need of a haircut in Copenhagen in the future.

I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and she gave me a great trim and highlights for 899 kroner (which is at least half of what most places seem to charge). She is also an expert eyebrow threader!
