The team did not complete the rotational tasks on two separate visits, so I did not get what I paid for. When I called them about this, they wanted to send the team back but instead we agreed it would be fine if they completed the rotational tasks on all rooms on their next visit. When it came time for the next visit, they told me I would be upcharged. I tried to remind them about my previous calls but they insisted there would be an upcharge. I cancelled their service. Is there a less than 1 star? I agree with several other reviews I have just read, the management at The Cleaning Authority needs work. I've had them for five months. I had to call management more than one occasion because my house was not cleaned well. The last time I called which was a week ago I told them I was done. I was asked why by Tiffany, and I explained to her how terrible the cleaning has been the last several times. We're supposed to have your rooms additionally cleaned at different times. The last time was my kitchen, they were supposed to pay extra attention to things like furniture in those areas, range hoods, baseboards etc. none of that was done. I have pictures and video of me looking at it after I returned home to grease on top and under my range hood. My chairs were never dusted, except for one. Baseboards in all three of the bathrooms were never wiped down. And the sink was not touched in one of my bathrooms. She said she how sorry she was and she would return my phone call the very next day or the owner would return my phone call very next day. When asked how she could make amends for this I told her I wanted part of my money back since I only had a partial clean. It took a while to get a call back, but after my review I did. Tiffany was very sorry, and after some discussion said she would have the owner call me. I wanted a portion of my Money back.....Tiffany said she would relay my message again to the owner, however it's in the print of the contract that they do not issue refunds. I told her it's in very bold print in all of your advertising that satisfaction is guaranteed. The owner finally did call, and after much discussion agreed to give me a portion of my money back to his discretion. With the understanding I would revise my review. I agreed, that I would add to my review that he did call me back and we did finally resolve this issue. This was a lot of work for a little bit of money! The cleaning is less than subpar. The Cleaning Authority did a great job cleaning our house, but an hour after of them leaving our white marble floor in our bathroom was stained blue! Their insurance company will not cover the $1,200 it cost us to get it repaired, because they said they did not see the stain when it happened. However, we asked them to come to our house to see it in person and they refused. We have pictures to prove when this situation occurred. However, the owner, Jeffrey Hyman is insisting that we have no proof his team did this. Jeff, I contacted you on Friday about a blue stain on my white $7000 marble floor. As a business owner, you should have come out to assess the damage rather then send your employee with a magic eraser. Kayla took pictures before the floor was touched. I called you repeatedly after Kayla left. You ignored my calls, so I had to call from blocked numbers. I have the call log. I did not hear from the insurance company until days later. With a white marble floor you can not let a stain sit. We were directed to act or the stain would remain permanently. The professionals that actually came to the house to assess the damaged stated that a stain like the one left, was from the blue booties your employee wore in the bathroom. When the blue booties get wet, they bleed making a stain on the marble floor. I understand mistakes happen, but take responsibility what was done. I asked for reimbursement for my floor to be fixed after hiring your company. This will not be the last time you hear from you and I will continue to let people know the damage you have done. read more

Last week had my first ( and last ) cleaning. The list of what they were going to and what they did we're not even near the same. The kitchen and bathrooms were supposed to have special care in this more "intense " cleaning yet the floors were not clean the blinds and mirrors were still dusty etc. one answer was they had spent too much time already however the company came out and decided what to charge for these services , they never said it was based on time , just their assessment of what needed to be done and what the cost was. Please be aware that the advertised rotational cleaning system is a fraud and a joke. I used the company for 4 months and not one time did they detail the rooms on rotation as listed in their brochure. What they do however is half clean the rooms that aren't on rotation with a lot of nonsensical rules where the cleaners aren't allowed to move anything and can only clean around things. Even when the bathroom is on rotation, they're only allowed to move a certain number of items on the vanity. Yesterday was the worst customer service experience I have ever received in my life! They were due to arrive at 1pm and didn't arrive until 3:30pm. At 5pm they told me their time was up and they were leaving my house half cleaned. I've had back surgery and they left me with a dirty kitchen, dirty kitchen and bathroom floors and unemptied trash. I called the manager Morgan and she told me the owner would call me and he never did. This company does not have professional cleaners and they don't allow sufficient time for the house to be cleaned. Their cleaners don't know how to clean! Great work, very detailed! I used Cleaning Authority when I lived in DE and thought I would give them a try when I moved to NJ. The 3 women that came to clean were professional, detail oriented, did a great job on a big, tough house to clean.... thanks to my lab who sheds constantly. I utilized Cleaning Authority for a residential bi weekly cleaning for almost a year. I could probably go on about the ups and (many more) downs I have experienced with this company; poor customer service, inconsistency in the quality of their work, the high turnover, etc. But the point I want to make in this review is- just go with someone else. Don't waste your time, as I did. I decided to hold off on this review until my new cleaning company came in to clean several times so I can compare and I can easily say that the quality of work isn't even comparable. I was one of 3 people on my block that used this company and we all have moved on. I would like to note that I don't really blame the workers as more than one of them have told me that management is terrible and they are so often short handed because nobody stays for long. This caused them to rush through houses and sacrifice the quality of work (and you can't thoroughly clean a 2800 sq ft house in less than two hours with two kids, two hairy dogs, and a husband who doesn't wash out his sink after brushing). I have had to deal with management several occasions and was lied to multiple times so this information did not surprise me. Also, when I called to cancel, after a YEAR of being a customer, they didn't even ask me why. I guess they already knew? Just bad business. Having someone clean your home is a luxury I can barely afford and I work too hard to not have it done right. Looks good on paper. First cleaning was fine because the inspector came to check. Had my second cleaning this week, and it was supposed to be the better cleaning hand wiped etc. Not even close!!!! That's it I'm done. wasn't even dusted, and didn't even appear to be vacuumed. I vacuumed after they left and pulled up a lot of crud.They did offer a certificate for $25 off next time, but being I had spent $170 to basically clean, dust and vacuum myself, it was not worth it to pay out more for a lousy job. They told me after I called to complain, there may be areas missed, and that they do not do a white glove job, also they will vacuum the cushions but not the pillows on the sofa. Go figure. This is a long review, but do yourself a huge favor and read through the whole thing: This business advertises that they adhere to a very specific itemized listing of what is to be cleaned in the home for each type of cleaning - Deep Cleaning (initial 2 visits, and periodically thereafter) or Every Day Cleaning. While we very satisfied with the initial 2 Deep Cleanings performed by the same 3-person crew, the next 2 Every Day Cleanings were performed by a different, new 2-person crew each time. In both cases, there were major things that were missed (many undusted areas, kitchen countertops not touched, areas of floors not vacuumed/swept, etc.). When we called the first time to report these deficiencies, they were more than accommodating to send another crew back to our house to touch up the missed areas, and again, we were happy with the touch-up. However, when I called to report the similar missed areas the next time, I was told by Beth, the Business Development Manager, "The ladies are only human and they're going to miss a few things". When I then mentioned that the areas missed were significant items, not nit-picky things, and that these things are specifically on the Every Day Cleaning list, I was told "Maybe we're not the cleaning service for you". REALLY?? So we were terminated as customers for being "repeated, unsatisfied people", and they REFUSED to come look for themselves (Beth or another manager or the owner) to see what we were talking about, they REFUSED to send another crew to touch up the missed areas, and they REFUSED to refund us our payment for this last cleaning. After 2 emails with Beth, followed by 2 emails with Jeff, the Owner, he finally agreed to refund us, but only 25% of the payment. Bottom Line: This business would rather terminate a customer than talk to their crews about missing things on the ADVERTISED, CONTRACTUAL list. Additionally, they don't require their crews to ACTUALLY USE the checklist when doing the cleanings, which would alleviate things being missed in the first place. UNBELIEVABLE! We should have looked at the other reviews here on Yelp before we hired this company! Note that all of them (listed under this business address and the incorrect "650 S.
