I brought my 40 year old leather jacket that Had some mold pores from being stored in a closet in my garage to the Cleanery. They examined the jacket and described what method they would use to remediate the mold pores. The price was very fair and I picked up my jacket a week later. They did a marvelous job and they highly recommend them. read more

I could never thank Scott enough for ALL that he did to resore my daughter's wedding gown from the condition that it was in when it was brought to him. In December of 2022, I had dropped my daughter's dress off to my local dry cleaner in Wantagh, who I had used and trusted for the past 30 years. I had paid for the cleaning and boxing service beforehand since I trusted the quality of their work. After stopping in several times throughout the year to inquire about the dress, I was consistently given excuses as to why the dress was not ready and, each time, believed that I was being told the truth. That was until February of 2024 when I received a phone call from them stating that their business was shutting down and the whereabouts of my daughter's dress was unknown. After pressing further, I was told that it was dropped off to Scott. Upon calling Scott and relaying my story, he informed me that the dress was brought to him severely damaged with water stains and that the stains occurred while in the possession of my dry cleaners. I was heartbroken to say the least. Scott was so compassionate and understanding of the situation. He promised me that he would do all that he could to try to restore the gown to its natural color but was also honest in saying that it wasn't going to be an easy fix. Fast forward 2 weeks and I received a call as well as a picture of the dress, minus any staining. The cleaning process was a success! He also boxed and preserved the gown as well. Upon picking up the dress from Scott, he told me that the only compensation that he would take would be to write a review of his business, so here it is!! You will never find a more honest or qualified professional than Scott. He is a rarity in this day and age and I will never stop singing his praises. read more

The Cleanery does amazing work cleaning leather goods! I have a beautiful light color,butter soft jacket that I brought to several places and nobody could guarantee cleaning the jacket without ruining it. The prices I was quoted were also very high, almost half of the original cost. Scott and Greg at the Cleanery were very confident that they could successfully clean the jacket at a very reasonable price. They were in constant contact with me during the process, and did a fabulous job. My jacket looks better than it ever did and they were so nice to deal with. Didn't find email communications with Scott very professional. He was defensive regarding basic questioning about dry cleaning services provided by the establishment. He then completely ignored additional emails. I've decided not to provide them with any business based on that and the lack of reviews here. I'll be taking my dress elsewhere and telling others to do the same. read more

Scott is truly a miracle worker! My wedding photographer used a smoke bomb as an effect for pictures and it stained the bottom half of my dress pink. I brought the dress to Scott and from the moment we walked in he assured us that he would do whatever it took to clean the dress. He had never seen or dealt with anything like it but that didn't stop him. He reached out to other people in the business and used his knowledge and creativity and persistently worked on the dress. He was extremely professional and responsive. He kept in constant contact about the state of the dress and would often send me pictures so I could see the progress. Leaving the dress in Scotts hands was the best decision I made, because he truly cares about the end result. I am happy to report that the dress is back to its original, ivory condition thanks to him! I would recommend there service to any bride!! You will not be disappointed. Can't thank Scott at the Cleanery enough for his professionalism and great customer service! My daughter purchased a sample wedding dress in NYC and we wanted to be sure that when it was cleaned, the dress would be restored to perfect condition for her wedding. I had been referred to the Cleanery by a bridal shop and took the dress to Scott to take a look and advise whether I should have it cleaned or altered first. Scott took the time to inspect the dress and advise me the best way to proceed. As we waited for the alterations to be completed, Scott spoke to me on numerous occasions to reassure me of the process and timeline. Upon bringing the dress back to the Cleanery after alterations, he once again assured me that the dress would be perfect. He called me a few days later and advised the dress had been cleaned and asked me if I wanted to inspect it before they pressed it. My daughter and I met with Scott and the dress was more beautiful than we could have ever imagined! I can't thank Scott and his staff enough for not only the wonderful job they did on the dress, but for being so patient with us through the process. read more
