My travel humi was running very low, so I stopped by to reload a few for my last few days. It seemed like there might be a few holes in their inventory as the import process has slowed supply lines, but I found a reasonable selection. Don't know where to start. When you come in the front door, you're always greeted enthusiastically! Someone acknowledges that you walked in an offers to help you find your next smoke. If there's a group of people hanging out, you're going to get a head nod, a verbal "hello" and you're probably goin to shake some hands or get fist bumps. The atmosphere is very accepting, everyone is a friend here. Select your cigar and grab a chair and relax. It's such a laid back environment that you'll wish you came very day. after spending an hour or so in here I was tempted to go back home and put a for sale sign in my yard. Truly a hidden treasure in Biloxi. I'm not your typical gal. Born and raised in Amherst Ohio, Fishing and hunting yes please, 2 older Brothers, only girl on the block, back in the day suited up on the all boys football team and started in my junior high years kind of gal. So now as I matured I would say I am more Girly with the tom boy attitude still near and dear to me. So yes I admit I love me a fine cigar, I learned it can be alluring to most, it's just my thing and damn it I like it! My Husband is an avid cigar smoker so I have the pleasure to visit different cigar shops. This one tops the cake. They offer more then tobacco and pipes, they offer knowledge and service. I would say this place is the Mecca for any cigar smoker. The atmosphere is absolutely glorious to both the senses of sight and smell. It fits the ambience, the culture, and plays an intricate part of the cigar experience. Stopped by the Cigar Shop yesterday while my partner was shopping and was glad I did. I think this store opened in March and have noticed it at the old Elliot's Jewelry location but never got a chance to stop by. Cigar Shop has two humidors and a very large selection of cigars, however they didn't have my favorite bundle cigar or my friends favorite but still an impressive selection. The one thing that sets this establishment from others is that it is much more than a store but actually a lounge or cigar bar. You are encouraged to hang out and enjoy your cigar on leather couches while watching a game or chatting it up with other BOTL (brothers of the leaf). The salesman was very friendly and knowledgeable about cigars but did seem to push the Nicaraguan's which I really dont care for. He did point out some very great gift items that I'll consider for Christmas gifts. All and all I really loved this place and it's man cave qualities and the staff were top notch. Not only was I offered something to drink and hang out but my beloved Canine was allowed in. They have a private club for members which includes monthly smokes, locker and private access but it is quite pricey. I had to share my experience and compliment their customer service, Mike, in particular. I wanted to have a couple of cigars delivered to my friends who were staying at the Beau Rivage. This turned out to be a challenge as I was calling from Las Vegas and the hotel had a complicated process to do it internally. I yelped cigar shops in Biloxi and came across The Cigar Shop. I am not a cigar aficionado myself, but trusted Mike's expertise to pick something appropriate and of quality, I was able to make the purchase over the phone and Mike arranged for it to be delivered to the Beau Rivage concierge. I was so impressed with the way Mike handle the situation, and how helpful he was in explaining different cigar options. My wife and I stopped in one evening to look at lighters and humidors. Nobody was at the counter, but there was a man in a chair smoking and a woman next to him chatting. We stood at the counter for over five minutes and finally gave up and left. As we were driving away I looked in the window and saw that the woman who was chatting had gotten up and gone behind the counter. Was she an employee? I have no idea, but if she was she just cost herself several hundred dollars on the sale of an expensive humidor that I ended up driving to New Orleans to buy. This isn't your typical cigar shop where you walk in, ask a question to some kid who may or may not know what they're talking about, pick out something that might be in the range of what you're looking for, and then leave. The Cigar Shop makes you want to hang out, smoke the cigar you really wanted, and BS with the staff that treats you more like a friend than a customer. I can't think of a single thing to improve here. They provide you kitchen and refrigerator space if you like, their VIP lounge is huge and well worth paying for, their other lounge area is comparable to even the very nicest places elsewhere. As far as cigar lounges go, this one is a winner. So the atmosphere is great, what about the selection and prices? I'm a fan because they have many boutique brands you can't get elsewhere and I have actually found their box prices to be better than many online retailers (and they won't put you on some cheesy email or mailing list without your consent like many online folks do).
