With many other open cafes in the vicinity overwhelmed with Easterfest-goers seeking caffeination, Bon Amici was, by comparison, relaxed and not too busy. Our coffees were a standard Toowoomba $4 a pop (cup size, not a mug) and a fairly decent cup of joe. I ordered a long black and it did the job of kickstarting the day. There's no pretense here and it was a relaxing hour or so sitting in their footpath dining area watching the world go by.

It's popular. It was Saturday morning and there was a queue. We got seated promptly by a very pleasant young waitress. Menus handed out and beverage order taken. It was not a long wait on the coffee. Coffee - was excellent. Just as ordered the extra hot cappuccino on almond arrived with a long black. The barista knew what they were doing. Food - We ordered the scrambled eggs on toast, mine with mushrooms. It came to table in what felt like a quick time. The below photo does not do it justice. The sourdough toast was fresh, thick and buttered. The eggs were full of flavour, not wet or dry just right.
