Our family has had memberships off and on for a while. They made fee accommodations for members…read moreduring the pandemic. If all you want is to go in and swim or just do a single class/workout it's kind of pricey, but I guess that's true of any Y, and it's why they encourage memberships. Worth it. They have some subsidized memberships available. And if you want to do beastmode/crossfit, the Y is much more cost effective than joining a local gym. You can sign up for swim lessons without a membership I believe, and the outdoor facilities are available to everyone regardless of membership. The building additions are fantastic, and there are so many classes to choose from: spin classes, jazz dance, Zumba, hiit, several kinds of yoga classes and a yoga wall. Always finding something new to try there. I like the giant mandala on the wall in the yoga/mediation room, it's a nice touch. Lots of machines of all kinds, the tvs, and large screen video classes on demand for things like kickboxing and a more curated weightlifting experience for newbies. They host regular fitness challenges which is also nice. Big group workout room with a mirrored wall. Popular place for birthday parties, has a splash pad, childcare center, and teen hangout room with air hockey, ping pong, pool, board games. The pool and whirlpool/sauna/steam room are great, great people, there are swim lessons on offer, and an awesome year-round competitive swim team for children and youth. Great beastmode/crossfit community, very supportive and knowledgeable. Handball courts. Gym/courts. Not sure why someone else referred to a track, since there is no running track per se. I use the paved walking trail around the soccer fields, wish it were a more forgiving material like wood chips but I guess concrete is more durable. The Y is more than a health club, it's about building community. This Y sponsors community initiatives/fundraisers/events and has twice yearly bring-a-friend and waived signup fee events. The community garden out back is an impressive, dedicated organization that donates lots of produce to local food kitchens. Nice big conference room. Administration has been helpful and friendly. Soccer program is wildly popular, they also host basketball, volleyball, pickle ball. The two reviewers who complained about trash on the playground both went there on a Sunday, I'm guessing it must have been right after a big soccer game day before they cleaned up since it's not usually like that from what I've seen. The check-in process is via a barcode scanner now. Locker rooms are good and clean.

My 3 year old son had been going to this school for almost 2 years. Never really had much problem…read morewith the staff except for 2 teachers. Few weeks ago my son was kicked out due to his "erratic" behavior. Since going here he has came home with a variety of bruises and marks . When mentioned to the director she couldn't ever give me a reason why. My sons old teacher quit and a new teacher took over. Her name is Heather. She was very rude from the start. Her approach is nasty and attitude is very horrible. She definitely doesn't deserve to be working with children. Words from another staff there is they "verbally abuse" the kids, have roaches constantly. The evening teacher will spray your child in every face with water if they aren't doing something right. If you bring clothes cups etc they go missing or are either in other kids cubbies. The staff here only seem to care about themselves and not the responsibility of the kids nor their job. The director doesn't care because it constantly happened. This center is horrible and needs to be evaluated by state or shut down. DONT PUT YOUR KIDS HERE !

Do you ever wonder why the staff fluctuates so much? Nina & Master Han pay their employees pathetic rates. With paying the employees so little, you're not getting quality teachers. Preferred Childcare's office staff were unpleasant to deal with and unwilling to find a long-term…read morenanny for my needs. They would send multiple new-to-us sitters each week, even though many of those sitters told me in person that they'd love to have the position as a recurring job. This was immensely stressful to me as a working parent - I had to be home to meet each new sitter and go over the job over and over again. There were also frequent last minute cancellations, especially on Friday afternoons. Ultimately, they did not offer the advertised service as I was doing just as much work as if I were hiring the sitters directly, only for a higher price.

I would think twice about using this service as a Covid-conscious family. If you use this service,…read morebe sure to ask about what their policies are about ensuring that babysitters/nannies are vaccinated, and ensuring anyone they send is actually vaccinated and maintains other covid-conscious practices. Through this service, we were paired with a nanny who wasn't fully vaccinated and lives with people who refused to vaccinate, and I'm glad I double-checked on this nanny to realize this before the person came to our home. I think this may have been a good business before Covid times, but now their policies are not aligned with those who are more covid-consciousness. We were with his company for months and they couldn't find a permanent vaccinated nanny. We ended up finding one ourselves without this agency's help. Through them, we did have some great temporary nannies, but this company did not provide the reliability or safety that we really needed. Today, their owner admitted to me "We do not require vaccinations because we don't have to and feel it is a very personal choice." I wish I had known this before we spent hundreds on this agency. They should have been upfront about that from the get-go instead of making the misrepresentation that, "Unfortunately, as an employer, we are unable to ask for their [babysitters] clarification [about vaccination status] for medical reasons."
