Only been open for a few months. Lounge type of interior, something you would expect in the central parts of the city rather than out in the suburbs. It's a really nice place interior wise. Too bad it was all empty. The theme is Indian food and cocktails, including breakfast options.
The masala fries were my favourite. I thought they would be dry style with a masala powder, but they are lightly sauced and very tasty. The Hakka noodles were all right, but needed more noodles to get a good veg-noodle ratio. The Bhel puri was just OK, it needs a lot more sauce, more tamarind and coriander. Needs more tangy tang. Comes across as dry.
All portion sizes surprisingly large. Food comes out quickly. The menu is more limited than most restaurants, but I think they have picked out a good selection. They have a drink called "Bloody Gandhi", their version of a bloody Mary, although the choice of name seems odd, don't know if it's supposed to be a pun that I wasn't getting. It's towards the end of the high street and near the train. read more
