Had the unfortunate experience of using Team Chabris when we bought a house. In two words- big mistake. Pamela Kurtz failed to include items on the contract (if you read their Facebook reviews not the first time this agency has had trouble with this) and then lied about it afterward. Peter Chabris lied about the entire experience in a response to an online review. Everything is documented on a website that is easily accessible if you search for this group. I really can't say enough bad things about Team Chabris. We used Pamela Kurtz as our agent and she failed us. Pamela did not write an offer which reflected our requests. Pamela then compounded the problem by telling things which were simply untrue. Pamela claimed that there were "specific instances" which she remembered talking with my wife- It is demonstratively false that these conversations did not take place from my wife's cell phone bill. She claimed to have spoken to the sellers about our offer and it isn't a conversation that anyone else remembers. Pamela failed to be honest, failed to represent out best interests, and failed to bring forth material disclosures to us. In addition Peter Chabris took it upon himself to lie about the situation when responding to an online review. If you are looking for people with no qualms about lying about or to you, slick words and presentation Team Chabris is a great choice. Being new to Cincinnati I didn't have a clue where to turn for Real Estate Advice. I didn't know much about the area or the housing market. My husband and I were all over the place with what we wanted, and where we wanted to live. Peter listed and sold my house. He lied multiple times throughout the process and his team was not supportive. "The seller is calling the shots here" is a phrase a heard several times. Peter convinced me to accept an offer that was lower than i had hoped on the condition that he had already agreed with the buyer's agent that we would not be giving the buyer more money for repairs after the inspection. The buyer came in with a nitpicky list of repair requests and Peter tried to convince me that I needed to accept all of them. I reminded him of what he agreed with the buyer's agent and he acted as if such an agreement had never happened. I could have had a far less stressful selling experience if I had hired a selling agent who was on my side in the transaction. The buyer was lucky in this case - he had both his own agent and my agent working for him! read more
