I sent photos of the damaged area and asked for an approximate price. I completely understand that…read morethe final price can only be determined after an in-person inspection, but I just wanted a general price range to know what to expect, since I have no idea how much this type of repair normally costs. Instead of giving me even a rough estimate, they kept sending me appointment times. I explained that I'm in another city and didn't want to drive two hours without knowing whether the repair might cost $300, $500, $800, or $1,000. After I explained this, they again simply sent me available appointment times, almost like a scripted response. Unfortunately, the communication was not helpful, so I decided to look for another company.

The repairman was able to come out, he spread blankets out to cover my floor and ensure the dust wouldn't get all over the place. He estimated repairs would take about two hours, but it was done in one. He even reinforced the leg to make sure it wouldn't collapse like it had before. (It had very ambitiously been stapled into place and it's a miracle it lasted as long as it did.) He was even able to put a new dust cover into place since the previous one had gotten shredded by the leg and then my cat. There was no mess left when he was done, and he walked me through every step as he was working. 10/10, definitely recommend. I also booked an heirloom coffee table to be picked up and refinished. I cannot wait to see it come back to life like my armchair did.

There were 2 holes about the size of a pinky and the cavity is about the size that could fit my thumb up to its nailbed. I reached out to a few folks and got quotes. Given my prior positive experience, I reached out to Mauricio to see if this could be done. I also noticed 2 holes that I'm not sure if it was there when I first got the furniture or if something else bore out. These were about the size of a dull pencil tip but on the underside of the furniture. Mauricio was extremely patient with me upon getting the details as I was considering getting a second opinion from some local exterminators on the risk of another emergence. Eventually, I figured out some details and booked an appointment. Everything was quickly scheduled with Edgar who arrived on time promptly and quickly went to work fixing the 4 holes. By the time it was finished, I could only vaguely guess where the holes were. To someone who didn't know about the holes, it would look almost natural. All in all, this took roughly an hour or so to complete. Edgar was sure to clean up after himself and laid out some paper padding to capture any mess left behind and prevent it from touching the floor. Overall, I was happy with the price and quality of work done.

He quoted me $800 based on photos, then when he came to the house he bumped the price to $1200, because the leg needed to be fixed.. I didnt have time to look around for someone else, but based on the reviews I thought he would be good, so I agreed. He then picked up the table with his wife.. and took half of the deposit. I informed him that once he is complete, for him to call so we can look at it in his shop. He was hesitant with that idea, but he agreed. On the day he called it was ready, we went to go see it, and noticed some black marks on it, which were never there before, when we pointed it out, he got angry and accused us it was there before and demanded we pay extra $300 to fix it. Luckily I had pictures on the day he picked it up, so he couldn't continue to bump the price. After that was done, him and his wife brought the table back, and the whole time upon delivery he is in a bad mood and yelling at his wife. He put the table back and collected the rest of the payment and left. A few days later, my wife went to clean the table, and the leg he claimed hefixed, just slipped off. I called him, and as usual he was blaming us, but its the leg he supposedly fixed is still bad, he later agreed he will fix it, and after 1 week, I texted him again, and he, stated, " I will take care of it." Its been over 1 month and he never replied, and ignored my calls. Overall he is very Rude, unprofessional, and he tries to find ways to nickle and dime you. I highly dont recommend him,

I had cabinets installed and the process was wrought with twists and turns. My cabinets arrived with a center divider and because the cabinets were only 30 inches wide this made them unusable. After months with no kitchen I opted to have the divider cut out. Some cuts were smooth but a few were not. Richard chiseled them smooth even though this was not in the plan. He is really a craftsman. He then matched my cabinet stain and the cuts are no more! I am so happy with his work I want him to come back and do finishing on my crown mounding and other areas installers did not polish up. Richard is a finisher, I learned, so a great person to have polish up after contractor work.

I took my broken dresser drawer directly to the shop where I met with Brian to get an assessment and price. Brian is personable, and clear on what he can/will do and what it will cost. It's nice to know there is a reputable place to go when I need furniture repairs performed. NOTE: The shop is open for pick-up or drop off, from 12noon - 4pm MON-FRI Also, they only accept cash or checks, no credit cards... in case that matters to you.
