Wonderfully warm, friendly and spirited pub. This is what all regular local type pubs should aspire to. A choice of two real ales always on tap at reasonable prices.
We were watching the Ryder Cup on their tv one afternoon, and a golf ball suddenly bounced down the stairs. One of the locals said 'How's that for 3D?' Later, when visiting the castle museum we realised how significant this remark was when we discovered that a Jedburgh man had invented 3D vision (Sir David Brewster, the stereograph).
The only thing missing from this little gem of a pub is more regular live music, as I think accoustic acts would go down well at the weekend. read more
