When I tried to contact the leasing office and claim my damages. Ms. Pamela Nowlin, kept changing the subject and would not give me a straight answer as to why she entered my unit and discarded my personal belongings as garbage while I was still paying rent. I was never contacted during this one process! To this day, the property continues to maintain a negative attitude towards my contact. They think that I, as an international student, am a vulnerable person who can be bullied at will. They only smile at you when they collect money and I will never, ever recommend erie harbor for any student at our school.

The only reason I moved out is that my lab moved to a different city. My roommate continued living there from 2018-2019, and has now extended his lease from 2019-2020. There's plenty of room in the bedrooms of the apartments. I fit a queen bed, a stack of 5 shelves, a big desk, desk chair, a dresser, a smaller chest of drawers, and still had some floor space left. In the closet I another small chest drawers. Apartments are clean and modern. The management was great. They responded to our requests and never tried to charge us for anything. I got my part of the security deposit back in full. My only complaint in 3 years of living was that my neighbors above me were rude. But that's bad luck, and can't be blamed on the property.

So regardless to having excellent payment history, and if everything else is good for fielding gardens, you still get a HARD credit check. Anything more than four credit checks will put you into the "POOR" credit check category. Fielding gardens tells you it doesn't stay there long, but two years is a long time!! These people need to fix their application process NOT to hurt people's credit!!! All they care about now , is doing the credit check first, then figuring out if you will be approved by income, rental history, etc. Their application process is REVERSED, beware of that, because they do not care!

The office manager couldn't be more personable and is on top of her game, always willing to listen and do anything to help. She is just a pleasure to deal with. The maintenance is fantastic - fast and always available at the drop of a hat. Winter plowing is absolutely no problem...has started as early as 3:00 a.m. and goes all day if necessary. It's not to much to ask prospective tenants to have a job, decent credit and a reference from current landlord. I recommend this complex all the time - great place to live for seniors.
