While the property is marketed as a luxury community, my experience did not reflect that standard. One of the first things I noticed was the overall lack of cleanliness throughout the property. The common areas were often poorly maintained, and there was a persistent odor of dog waste that negatively impacted the living environment. Another significant concern was the management team. Throughout my time at the property, I found management to be unresponsive and unwilling to address ongoing issues that affected residents. In my experience, many concerns were either delayed or not adequately resolved. I also encourage prospective renters to carefully read the lease agreement and fully understand all terms before signing. During my residency, I lived in three different units: 7105, 7104, and 4301. Unit 7105: When I received the keys, the apartment had not been properly cleaned. Shortly after moving in, the ceiling sustained water damage from the upstairs unit due to flooding. I was also concerned that the attic was never thoroughly inspected for potential mold following the water intrusion, and I did not see what I believed were adequate remediation efforts from management or maintenance. Unit 7104: Before I moved in, the previous resident had reportedly left the apartment in very poor condition, requiring extensive renovations. While many repairs were completed, the garage continued to have a strong odor of dog urine, and the apartment retained an unpleasant smell that never fully disappeared. I also observed what appeared to be previous water damage in the cabinet near the garage entrance. Based on what I saw, I was concerned that the repair may have concealed mold rather than fully addressing the underlying issue. Unit 4301: I was moved into this unit after another apartment became uninhabitable. Unfortunately, that unit which was 7309 had a significant German cockroach infestation that I believe existed prior to my move-in. Based on my experience, management was aware of the issue but did not take sufficient steps to eliminate the infestation before placing a new resident in the unit. I felt I had little choice but to accept the transfer because no other suitable options were offered. Overall, my experience at Catalon at Lago Mar was disappointing. The recurring maintenance concerns, cleanliness issues, pest problems, and lack of effective management response made it difficult to enjoy living there. For anyone considering this community, I recommend carefully researching other apartment complexes, touring the property in person, asking detailed questions about maintenance and pest control, and reviewing the lease thoroughly before making a decision.

It makes this place stand out from the day-to-day apartment living truly making it easy to call a place like the Lynx home for so long. They recently hired a new maintenance manager about four months ago who has really been on the ball. Dog stations are always stocked. The service request are answered in a timely fashion. Communication is open across the board. This guy's overall commitment has definitely leveled up the value in this community and it shows. It's probably not often that people are sad to move on from apartment life. It's a very bittersweet moment personally as the Lynx has been my home for several years. From its resort style front pool, the lazy hammocks perfect for a Sunday afternoon book to its larger than life dog park- this place will be missed. Especially by the dogs. I have lived in a lot of apartments, as my jobs have led me around the country, and this is my…read morefavorite complex. The apartments themselves are relatively quiet. I'm fairly sure my upstairs neighbors have a game night on Sundays, which I can hear from my living room, but not my bedroom. I love that there are stone counter tops in the kitchen and bathrooms. The closets are huge--in the master bedroom, I joke that my closet is the third bedroom. The eat in kitchen counter is my favorite part--no wasted space with a dining room I wouldn't use. All of the appliances are new and work really well. This is really silly, but I like that I can tell the microwave how many seconds I want instead of it being an increment of 30 seconds. I feel safe and secure even though there are a good number of access points. I've always easily found parking. The grounds are well kept, even though the complex is very dog-friendly (I might be the only person without a dog?), and I don't recall ever seeing pet waste. The garbage is picked up Sunday through Thursday. And one of the best parts: The packages are kept in a locker. A person doesn't have to wait for the office to open to pick up their packages--instead a code is sent out, and resident has a few days to pick it up from the secure location, and you can pick it up any time of day. The main office staff are friendly, efficient, and remember who I am even though with the package lockers, I don't have a lot of reason to go into the office. They work to have fun events to make the building feel like a community. The only time I hear them exasperated--and I concur--is when someone has broken glass near the pool and have to drain it and clean it. Stop taking glass to the pool, people!

My boyfriend was the one dealing with the moving process, so I never looked this place up, but seeing the reviews now makes so much sense. Since day 1- keep in mind I just moved across the states DRIVING with my tank pets so it was extremely stressful.. We arrived excited to finally get off the road and hopefully get to sleep the following day before moving all our belongings inside. NOPE! I am now fully aware of my upstairs neighbor's routine while I am still reestablishing mine. She wakes up at 6 am every day and walks around in her heels for about 2 hours before she departs around 8:30. She gets home at 5 pm and has her friends' dogs over on the weekends that have crazy zoomies late in the night.. On day 2, our A/C stopped working. The following week, we needed to take a trip out of state and were gone for about 4 days. Upon getting back, there was a HUGE puddle of water sitting on our floor from the a/c closet.... So they do not FIX things- they put a band-aid on it. The walls are extremely thin- I hear banging and clunking at all hours of the day. It's extremely devastating and disappointing to have all these issues within 2 weeks. Don't let the appearance of the apartments be your only deciding factor if you appreciate quiet and peaceful environments. I guess I will have to buy my upstairs neighbor some slippers to make my mornings a bit quieter.
