My friends and I stopped in here one afternoon before the reds game and so glad we did! We sat outside on the rooftop and enjoyed some delicious Moscow Mules before it unfortunately started raining. We headed inside to the bar to stay dry and we're met by some pretty kickass bartenders! They kept our drinks full and kept us company while the storm passed. But, even after the rain was over, we didn't move off of our barstools. We were having way too much fun! After talking to some locals, this bar is a great place to spend an afternoon enjoying some sun and some great company! They do have a small menu, but we didn't have any food during our visit. The blind pig is owned by the same person as o'malley in the alley. This is a great little dive bar to grab a drink after work. We came here right around 4-5 when the after work crew came in and it was definitely a regular group, everyone knew everyone. Brooke, the bartender was fabulous she was on top of everything and super sweet! We didn't eat but the food looked good, drinks were well made and they had a great beer selection. I've only been here two or three times, and only for Tuesday night karaoke, but I love it! Whenever I've been in, even if it's crowded, there's a super chill vibe. The crowd seems to be mostly Young Urban Professionals like myself for whom midweek karaoke is a fun, relaxing activity. I go with a group of actor friends after rehearsals sometimes, and I always make friends with strangers there! Especially considering the location, the drink prices are pretty reasonable, and they have really good daily specials. They're connected to the back of O'Malley's in the Alley, so I envision a combo day in my future! The patio is excellent - everything a bar patio should be. I love it! read more

I walked into O'Malleys and ended up here! Seriously though, I had no idea this had opened up until I got to the back of O'Malleys and... the back wall had been replaced with doors leading to a connector (complete with new restrooms) leading to Blind Pig. It's not a huge space adding to a comfortable feel with tables on one side and a bar on the other with plenty of televisions tuned to local sports. It had the same laid back vibe as O'Malleys, but with a much spiffed up decor. (Check out the cool chandelier!) I could see a pretty good sized patio outside too overlooking third street, though given the arctic chill, we did not venture out. Overall, a welcome addition. I'm sure I'll be back! read more

Just ate here for lunch this afternoon. It has a great outdoor space that overlooks 3rd street. Plenty of umbrellas so you don't have to sit in direct sunlight, if that's not your thing. We ordered a variety of things. The Rachel looked fantastic, I will be trying that next time! I ordered the Cali Club and was happy with it. Plenty of toppings and a little messy = good sandwhich! Came here on a paddle wagon bar hop, and this bar is just what you'd expect- a little divey, well-priced drinks, and generally a good time! Interesting that it is connected to O'Malleys in the Alley too! I didn't check it that side really, but I'll have to next time I'm here. It was a Sunday afternoon, and one of their drink specials was a $3 mimosa! Hard to beat that! Of course you do get what you pay for. It was actually a pretty generous pour of champagne, but that orange juice was questionable lol. It came out of a hose and looked more like a weird orange syrup mixed with water than juice haha. Nonetheless, I'd probably get a sketch mimosa from here again at that price! The location of this place is awesome too, right by the reds stadium! Great bar for trivia. With the bar being half indoor and half outdoor, you can enjoy a nice cool breeze while testing your trivia skills on a Wednesday evening. Free popcorn is available to munch on but I would suggest their nachos ($7, or $9 to add chicken, chili or pulled pork) and their burger! I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious their burger was ($10,75 for a bacon cheeseburger). The burger comes with potato chips with an up-charge for fries but hey you're worth it and so are the fries! read more

Oh man...this is one of those reviews that's hard for me to write. I want everyone to know how amazing of a spot this is...but at the same time I don't want anyone to know so it doesn't become so packed I can no longer enjoy it... Alas, I want the place to succeed fully so here I am typing. This is truly a hidden gem in every sense of the word. I don't think you would know the place existed unless someone told you about it or you happened to stumble upon it by going to O'Malleys. You literally have to enter through O'Malleys to get to it (they do have a stairway front entrance). I would describe it as O'Malleys trendier cousin from out of town...like the one that cares about fashion and trends but is still down to earth (not pretentious) and hangs out with O'Malley all the time. The decor is trendy but the real star of the show is their outdoor patio. It literally is not only my new favorite watering hole but a wonderful place to just relax downtown. They also have insanely good deals on drinks, including a Thursday night special which includes $3 drafts...and I mean ALL drafts including craft and specialty beers (like Hi-Resin...whoa!). Added bonus is that you can order food from O'Malleys if you're getting hungry or if you just want to nibble they have a popcorn machine running all day. I have been here literally like 8 times in the last 2.5 weeks. I have seen it packed and pretty empty. They have plenty of TV's inside for games and a good sound system for tunes (they have a TouchTunes jukebox). The bartenders have always been very nice, attentive, and helpful. Like I mentioned earlier my biggest fear of this place is that too many people will find out about it and I wont be able to enjoy it in all its glory...especially on game days. But until that day comes I will continue coming on a weekly basis. read more

Great outdoor space for a pre Reds-game beer! We stopped in and snagged a table outside and some cheap drafts for happy hour prices-$3 or $4-for good beer. They lost a star for the service, the bartender had an attitude and acted like we were doing a disservice by asking about the selections and trying to order a beer. Blind Pig is a great place to wet your pallet after a game or if you just want to sit outside on a nice patio. I have been here a couple of times and have always had a great time. The patio is awesome, although it doesn't have the greatest view of downtown, the open air is still great. They have about 20 beers on tap and a pretty above average liquor selection. As a proud Irishman, my favorite thing about Blind Pig, as trivial as it may be, I absolutely love the Jameson Bottle chandelier that they have hanging inside. The service has always been quick and easy going and it's all around a great place that I would recommend! read more

My favorite bar in Cincinnati. I live downtown and have always loved going to Omalley's in the Alley. Last December we went to Omalley's only to discover it had expanded and connects to The Blind Pig! We go here more than any other bar. It's chill but also can get rowdy on the weekend nights with a DJ. It's my favorite to sit outside by the fire and drink a beer or wine. After a long day at a convention, we wander down to the blind pig. Great rooftop location, but management keeps the place so understaffed that you have to walk in to the bar to order food and rarely see a waiter thereafter unless your meal happens to be ready. The food is quite acceptable. Management's inattention to customer service makes the place a little bit of a bust, As we were waiting to pay our tab, one party came in to cancel their food order because they were on a short time schedule and nothing had happened as far as meal delivery for a long time. The woman behind the bar said "they lost your ticket. I am not responsible for that. Bad attitude and bad service for another party that we witnessed made us wonder how we would be treated next time we visited, although that is not likely to happen again. read more

Came here for my brother's birthday and did not get served by the bartender after standing at the bar for over 10 minutes. One bartender was putting away mats and the other was talking to people at the end of the bar. She continued to walk up and down the bar, looked at us and did not even ask us if we needed anything. I'm a bartender and this was not good service at all, I understand that if the place was busy it would take a minute to get a drink, but it was late on a Sunday night. Not busy at all. The blind pig hosts the outdoor patio and small inside area to get out of the sun and O'Malleys is just a walk thru the back. HORRIBLE SERVICE. On several occasions, I have been beyond disappointed with the treatment from the bartenders at this bar. If you are a woman, forget about it. The bartenders do like to cater to guys...I'm guessing for the tips. And hey, I even am willing to forgive that being a former waitress (to some extent). But the attitude is so completely unnecessary... Oh, I'm sorry, am I taking you away from texting on your phone to get me a drink??? Here's a tip...don't be a bartender if you can't learn how to cater to the crowd that brings in your income. Also, the wine selection SUCKS. The bourbon selection SUCKS. The beers are 90% hoppy, so if you want anything outside of that, might as well keep walking down to Yard House or a place on the Banks. I'm a big fan of the workers in O'Malleys in the Alley, which is connected to this bar and under the same ownership. The servers there are very kinda and cater to ALL crowds. But if you are in the mood to be someone's pain in the rear because you don't have tattoos, colored hair or are a millennial, hey, go to the Pig! Also, asking your customers to check out BEFORE they are ready to leave (at 7 pm, mind you) because you are off your shift and want your tip? - Not a good look. I'm actually a big fan of this place. It's my go-to spot before Bengals games. I love the outdoor patio and am not sure why there aren't more rooftop/outdoor options in the area. It's a way better space than O'Malley's (which it shares the building with) as it doesn't feel quite as dark and dingy. The food still comes from O'Malley's kitchen and is better than you'd expect considering it's just simple bar food. Overall, great pregame spot but plan to arrive early because it fills up quickly. read more

Nice bar that's a mix of sports bar and part dive. The patio is great for al fresco eating and drinking. The staff were quick with our drinks and friendly too. We were there on a not so crowded early evening so I don't know if it becomes a zoo or full of frat guys, but overall a good first impression. There was a DJ there at the time spinning (laptoping?) some good tunes. Parking might be an issue for some people so plan accordingly. read more

So last night on 6/2/2017 I order a Drink and tip the bartender 5$. 15mins later, I ask for a Drink called a Trashcan. She has no clue what that is and I was unsure of what all was in this drink. So Im told "Give me a minute and look it up and let you know." 20 minutes pass so I looked the drink up myself and show her whats all in it. I have never paid more then 8-15$ for this drink. She said it will be around 15$. I said that's fine. Turns out the drink was 21.75$... an she already made the drink so I gave her 22$ and was waiting for my next drink to brake another 20$ dollar bill so I could tip again. Here come the fun! No more then 2 minutes after finally getting my Trashcan. She come over to tell me. "Ya, I'm not serving you anymore.." I responded "HA! Why because I did not tip right after I pay for a drink that was 7$ more then you said it would be.." Then she gives me this gross ass face and snatches the almost full Red Bull that comes with the Trash can drink.. That I just paid 22$ for. So I take it right back then she tries to snatch the cup that has all the liquor in it. Then she continues to yell and cry because I did not tip. All she had to do was wait 10 minutes. I'm not a bad tipper nor am I a rude person at all. But in the end I was then kicked out buy the bouncers. While everyone seems to be lost on why she just did anything that she just did. read more

We were really looking forward to checking this place out, based off of other reviews. When we stepped into the place, we really liked the decor. We sat down at a table to find that it hadn't been cleaned, even though the place was at half capacity at best. There were 2 waitresses and a barback. One waitress wasn't near the bar until right before we walked out. Patrons were cleaning their own tables, as the barback was preoccupied with changing the channels on the TV's. Originally I just thought that the waitress who was busy texting, simply hadn't seen us enter, and that's why no one had come to take our order, or deliver menus. I thought that... until I saw her leering at us. At this point my friend walked up and asked for a pair of menus (15-20 min into us being there) and it was seen as being an interruption to the waitress (again... texting, not busy). After looking at the menu, there really wasn't anything in the menu that compelled us to stay... so we walked out. read more

Great locally owned downtown bar. You can enter from 3rd street or come in through O'Malley's. They have a fantastic rooftop deck. The deck has great furniture (tall tables with bar stools, regular seating tables and couches). They also have heaters and two tables with fire pits in the center. Very cool place to hang out. Can't wait for the summer. Although you currently look out over the GE construction you also can see both stadiums. It will be nice to be up there for a Reds home run or Friday night fireworks! Inside is a typical bar with a bunch of TVs. Servers are friendly and there is free popcorn all day long. You can order from the O'Malley's menu. Their buffalo chicken sandwich with Swiss and bacon is amazing. Best thing on the menu that I've tried. I agree with the previous reviewer - I don't want too many people to figure out how great this place is because then it will be too crowded to get a seat! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the loud music. Very techno/rap (who wants to hear swears over and over again). It doesn't need to be that loud and how about some classic rock or country. It seems like they're trying to be a dance club or something. We hit this spot up before heading to Bunbury and needless to say we did not have to spend much $$$$$ at sawyer point. The drinks we had were awesome and they don't up charge because of events downtown (huge plus),and even though the joint was packed we still could get served quick!
