A review for the hotel, not the bar/restaurant:
Very nice hotel located in a very convenient area of London. The Beaumont is only a block away from the hubbub of Oxford Street, but tucked away in a pretty quiet corner. The hotel feels very small, so the staff greet you by name after a day. The interior is very heavily dark paneled wood and dim lighting for a bit of an upscale old-timey feeling. They have a 24 hour valet in the front which is nice since it can be hard to hail a cab directly in front of the hotel.
Despite the old-fashioned decorations, the Beaumont is actually quite new so doesn't suffer from the tiny rooms that a lot of legacy hotels have. Rooms are spacious and well lit, although since the hotel is in a side street unfortunately none of the windows in the rooms have views. I've found the rooms look stylistically similar, with one of the walls in the room glass paneled. Minibar is complementary which is a nice touch if you want soda or snacks in a pinch. I don't think the bathrooms in the hotel have bathtubs, but there are speakers connected to the TV and the showers are the very nice high volume nozzles. Cleaning service is attentive and discrete, and a lot of the room fixtures feel very updated and modern. Room service comes quickly but the offerings are fairly meh as to be expected from room service.
There is a small gym which is open 24 hours, as well as a spa, in the basement. Gym is rather small with a couple of machines, treadmills, and free weights, but there is plenty of bottled water, towels, and complementary headphones if you forget yours.
Overall, the Beaumont is well located, with spacious rooms, and fantastic service. read more
