This place is one of the most fun and interactive places I've ever been. It has become one of my favorite go to spots in Park Circle, North Charleston. You have amazing local beer, cider, seltzer, wine and mead options to choose from. The bar staff is also very helpful with helping you choose from their wonderful selection to find what's best for you. In terms of activities, you have everything from axe throwing, foosball, pinball, pool tables, and more. I also love that they host fun and creative events like Drink & Draw, D&D and tournaments for a pinball and pool. I love this place so much. It's become my second home.

We had the best time throwing axes at The Bearded Ax. They have plenty of other games too. Highly recommend! Wonderful staff and drinks.

My buddy and I stopped in for a beer and next thing you know, we're throwing axes. I've thrown axes a few times before but never like this. They have digital projections on the target so you can play different games like tic-tac-toe, kill some zombies, or throw at a traditional bullseye. You have a computer mouse to select everything and keep score. It added a whole new competition to the game and made me want to play longer. The other difference from other boards I've played on is that it's not vertical pieces of plywood for the target. They use a grid of 4x4 stacked in a square shape making the board more pliable/spongy like a dart board and creates significantly less waste as the target need to be replaced in months instead of days. Is eco-friendly axe throwing a thing? Well it is now! Last but not least, they have an amazing beer selection with like a hundred beers to choose from or something (not exaggerating). There's a handful of taps and then a giant cooler with tons of choices. You could easily come here to hang out and try unique brews like a bottle shop. Whether axe throwing is your thing or not, you definitely want to stop in for a couple beers. Next thing you know, you'll probably be throwing axes though too.

We attended a private party here. The staff are FABULOUS! Super friendly and helpful. We didn't actually do ax throwing, but the kids had a fantastic time throwing (supervised, of course) and they got personal lessons, which was awesome. But the real hidden gem? Ask Jon to make you a Beard Bomb if you like coffee. Even from someone who doesn't love beer, this was delicious.

This place is awesome!!! Three reasons to go here: 1) you get to throw axes 2) killer beer selections 3) it's fun AF There were three of us and we booked the 2 hour session. Jessica attended to our every need. To start she made sure she covered the most important part.... beverage selections. After getting our first round we signed the waivers and then got the house rules. After about 5 minutes of instruction on body movement, release techniques and demo we were off to the races. After a few attempts all of us we hitting the target on a consistent basis. About 49 minutes in you really start to get the hang of it. Jessica was by our side to help with pointers and advice as well as distribute beverages when asked to assist. The have an assortment of axes which was pretty cool so you could try out throwing the smaller ones single handed which I found to be easier. I would do this again and highly recommend it to anyone looking to have a good time and do any activity that may be a little less traditional. That day when you're sitting around asking yourself what should we do today, well...... here's your answer. Go here, have a beer, throw some axes, chill out and have a good time for once.

This establishment is a class act ! The coaches are amazing and friendly, the bar has a great selection of beers and meads. It gets super busy on the weekends I would totally suggest making a reservation or calls by before you stop in.

This is a great place for birthday parties, bachelorette/bachelor parties or date night! If you've never been before, the employees explain everything perfectly. They have interactive games like axe tik tak toe and targets. The place is very nice and clean, the bathrooms are clean and they also serve alcohol here. They have draft beer, special beers, seltzer's, and water. Super fun and inexpensive!

This place is absolutely amazing!! From the owner to the staff they are about the community and helping everyone to have a good time.

Coach John Peters--ask for him by name!

A few of us from the office had the chance to walk over to the Bearded Axe after work last night to give the ol' axe-throwing a whirl...wasn't sure what to expect--well, okay, I honestly was expecting to see a bunch of bearded, Duck Dynasty-loving rednecks, or maybe para-military types, but we got there early enough so it wasn't quite that busy. We actually were set up next to a young couple--he was dark and intense and VERY focused on hitting the target and she was lovely and blonde with a mile-wide smile, intent on having fun. So far so good--not so intimidating. Right out the gate, the staff is great--welcoming and wonderful with drink recommendations (thanks for encouraging me to try the Original Mead--delicious and light!). Once we were situated with drinks, John Peters took us to our "lanes" and proceeded to give a very thorough and easily understood walk-through of the art of axe-throwing. While one would think sheer brute strength would be enough, it seems there is actually an art to it (and luckily my lack of upper body strength was not a hindrance). John's job as coach was to give us one-on-one instruction (and lots of encouragement!) until we at least got one, good "stick". Once we demonstrated our ability to not hurt ourselves (or each other) and were versed in the proper etiquette, he let us loose--and boy, was it fun! Special thanks to Assistant Manager, John Hammond, for setting our group up--and to John Peters, the best throwing coach we could have asked for!

Great place for a surprise birthday party- just hanging out in between throwing and watching the competition!

Coolest new spot for a unique and killer afternoon. Had such a great time setting up a surprise party for my husband and his friends. Ian got us all set up and we had a last learning the techniques of axe throwing and giving it a shot. The whole shop is fully accessible, which isn't true of most bars in Charleston, so as a wheelchair user I was really pumped that I could join in and have a shot at axe throwing. Greatest axe throwing experience we've had and can't recommend this place enough. Thanks Ian!

It is very easy to find via vehicle or on foot. Our ax throwing instructors were great and patient while teaching and demonstrating the fundamentals.  After about 10 minutes we were able to throw the axes properly. You are given a choice of several axes with different blade weights and handle lengths to throw. There are more than 10 different games you can play in the eight lanes. Our allotted time expired faster than expected due to the fun we experienced. Overall, it was a great way to kill time for individuals and groups. Highly recommended.

The kids were spending some QT with their grandparents while we dealt with the moving madness. I missed them so much, but this means Date Nights without having to find child care. Honey, let's go axe throwing! Sure, why not?! We went on a double date with our good friends and it was such a fun start to the evening! - Parking - Private lot, but small. There's about 10 spaces. - TLC - The owner and the team are amazing! From my first phone call for info, all the way to the end of our axe throwing sesh, they were so helpful and friendly. - How It Works - You can make a reservation online which is a very easy website to navigate. Choose location and tap "Book online now". There is a calendar with time slots. Or, if you're like me and like to talk to human beings who can process my inquisitive mind with random questions, you can call and they'll be happy to assist and also make the reservation for you. Lanes have a max capacity of 6 people. Not sure how they set you up for parties of more than 6. Just ask the nice humans. When you arrive, you have to fill out the waiver. This was quick and easy as there is a QR code at the reception that leads you to the waiver online. Read and sign and once you get that out of the way, you are shown to your lane and an Axe Throwing coach will give you a little briefing on safety and tips of how to throw the axe. I read online that it's also BYOA(xe)! I actually got the axe on the board!!! Aaaaaaaand I got BULLSEYE (once). That's all that counts haha. There is a playbook at every lane so you can actually play games... I was just trying to get it on the board haha. Blade & Bull is located inside Southbound Brewing. If you get thirsty, you can walk over to the Southbound side and grab some beers that you are welcomed to take back to B&B. B&B does NOT sell any beverages or snacks so don't go hungry. Also, Southbound does not have anything non alcoholic. Stay safe, Friends!

Though, it was off the island, this was still a nice place to visit. I believe this was in Bluffton. The owner was extremely nice and explained to us that the location was recently purchased by him and his wife. He is a retired military guy (thank you for your service) and is doing this for fun now (to keep occupied). He and his wife do competitive axe throwing now and was showing us various techniques of throwing the axes. When it was our turn to throw the axes, the owner showed us the proper way to throw the axe. Take the axe over your head. Hold the axe in your primary hand and wrap your non dominant hand over the dominant hand. have your dominant foot forward. with 2 steps, release the axe when in the middle of the 2nd step. surprisingly, this was easier than expected. Each one of the members in my party was able to hit the bullseye after a few tries. The competition aspect of the game made it more fun, scoring and playing against each other. With the facility. The night we went was not that busy, but it looks like they have an area for live music to be played. They also have a small 'wine / beer' bar where they served basic alcohol. It was definitely nice that they didn't 'nickel and dime' you when the hour came up. they let us finish our games without charging extra for the overflowing into the next hour. (we finished up 10 minutes after the next hour started) Overall, this was such a fun way to kill some time. Highly recommend this location and look forward to doing this again in the future.
