Staff are really bubbly, but sometimes 'under the hammer' as it is a really popular place and, therefore, very busy at times. During these times I go to the Northern end of the shopping centre to their other cafe as it's never really busy because of it's location. One day I finally plucked up courage to venture inside with a friend and aside from a tatty menu and weird outdoor seating area in the back I was sold by its quirky charm. We this place popped up and looked like they did a good breakfast menu, and by golly do they ever. Nestled in a medical centre complex, only visible from a side street is this delightful cafe, it has undercover seating with an outdoor feel. The "Canada Pancakes" was not just pancakes bacon and maple syrup, it was pancakes, each layer generously covered in not too sweet real maple syrup, a whole rasher of bacon, then banana sliced on the bacon. Yes, thats right banana, I was shocked and then my taste buds were blown away by how amazing bacon and banana are together. On the side, you get whipped cream and flowers that I am assuming are edible! Stunned, amazed and oh so deliciously full. The "Eggs Benedict" comes with options, and who doesn't love options. My partner decided he would go with the mushrooms and delighted with the field of perfectly sauteed mushrooms, the poached to perfection eggs, the suprise avocado, and the delightful toast. A man of few words and he was practically raving about how good his brunch was. Coffee was excellent, mild but tasty roast with an option for extra large (read huge may as well have been a jug). Excellent service. Great value. Bonus points for supporting charities and taking donations in order to make well-being packs for the homeless!!

It is next to a park and there is ample parking. Service was quick and efficient - found a table for us even with heavy lunch crowd - order in and food and drinks delivered promptly. Menu was simple but reasonable choice. Try the chicken or beef burger(s) as they are great - come with good chips. Corn fritters went down fast, too. Just loved it - good quality. There was band playing jazz, giving a very relaxed atmosphere. Coffee was good. Our dog was provided a bowl of water. Great spot to chat or relax away an afternoon. It is busy at lunchtime. Do yourself a favour and visit.

Coffee was...okay, but definitely tasted over extracted and a bit bitter. The prices here are very modest - $10 for an Eggs Benedict and there are plenty of other breakfast options that are cheaper. The lunch menu looks great as well, but it's been a long time since I've sampled it - I'm usually here for a morning pick me up. They also have self serve sauces, salt and pepper, etc. The venue itself is lovely - filled with plants and artwork, in a charming brick and wrought iron building. For as long as I've been coming here it's been the same green- and pink-haired, tattooed staff that really make a visit worthwhile.
