We are delighted to provide a recommendation for The Bath Shop, which performed a complete remodel of our downstairs master bathroom during August and part of September, 2019. Depending upon your grading system, we rate The Bath Shop as A+ or a 5-star grade for various stages: + New design of bathroom: selection of tile, vanity cabinets, counter, shower and sink hardware, and lighting fixtures; + Complete demolition of a 20-year old bathroom including removal of wall paper which apparently was not sized years ago; + Reinforcement of bathroom floor under the house, building of knee wall, and enlarging new toilet room wall and ceiling; + Installation of shower tile walls and bathroom floor -- absolutely beautiful job; +Installation of new cabinets, quartz countertops, and glass for the shower (Oak City Glass); + Installation of Kohler products including a rain shower plus hand-held, linear drain in the shower, vanity faucets, toilet and even a second one in the powder room; + Relocation of HVAC vent and installation of new combo light and air vent required by code; + The "hardware" (towel racks, grab bars, cabinet knobs, and hooks) were perfectly installed; + All electrical requests were handled -- moving switches to more logical locations + Wall preparation and painting of 2-story ceiling and walls throughout the bathroom -- fantastic job Over the seven weeks of this remodel, we were visited almost every day by one or two persons per visit. We counted 16 Bath Shop employees who came and went. They were all very friendly and skilled in their specialties. The staff were very responsive to our questions and requests. Every day we were advised on who would be coming the next day and what they would be doing. Communication between the foreman and us was excellent. We did 5 major renos in the 33 years we have lived in this house, and this was by far our best experience. Project was to relocate a laundry closet from the first to second floor, convert old laundry to pantry, completely rebuild upstairs bathroom, install new vinyl plank floors in 5 rooms upstairs, and more. On past renos, we felt lucky to find somebody that's honest, reliable and competent. But the Bath Shop redefined what to expect in a reno. Most outstanding were (1) great professional designer help and advice ... unlimited selection of materials - not just a sales person pushing what they wanted us to buy ... we got what we wanted - not just what they wanted to sell us (2) before start, ALL of the workers (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, framing/sheetrock/painting, etc) met at our site, measured and discussed with us what we wanted - therefore there were no unexpected delays, costs, etc and we got exactly what we wanted (3) work was done by Bath Shop employees - not by subcontractors ... all the work was top quality in every respect (4) complete line-item accounting for everything - not just a walk-through and shoot-from-the-hip quote from a contractor who would then sub out the various parts of the job (6) brief daily text message giving the next day's activity (7) project came in $150 under their $42K estimated budget and exactly met their 6 weeks time estimate ... workers were on the job every weekday of the 6 weeks ... they weren't the cheapest bidder, but they were far less expensive than some bids we got, and nobody could have done it better for any price (8) professional demeanor, and clean-up was done after every day's work (9) and more ... I hired The Bath Shop to turn my outdated master bathroom and closet into a universal design; that is suitable for current use and future wheelchair use if needed. I was very pleased with the functional and cosmetic results of this project. Since the team was easy to interact with and their final product was so good, I hired them to redo my hall bathroom and laundry room. Project manager Robbie took my goals and concerns seriously. He addressed all issues quickly. He kept a close eye on the project timeline. There were delays but most dealt with material issues that were not within his control. Daily I was informed when workers would arrive and what tasks would be performed. His leadership was reflected in the courteous and professional mannerisms his crew exhibited to me and each other. They took their time to carefully plan the slope, materials and waterproofing issues, for the special circumstances, of my barrier free shower. If not done correctly, my bathroom would have become a flood zone during showers! This was a challenging task in my master bathroom. Their extra planning created a shower area that is perfect. They made a cabinet function for normal present day use and added retractable doors with a custom removeable shelf/toe kick. Now the sink cabinet can be used for a future wheelchair if needed. Changes and corrections to the contract, material orders, etc. were made quickly. I was well informed of the time period and schedule for financial payments. There were no surprises. The job finished on budget. This team not only delivered an excellent finished product; but their professionalism, courtesy, and high skill level helped to reduce my stress level during the process. read more

I can't say or give enough positive feedback regarding our experience with the Bath Shop. We are just completing a 3-bathroom remodel and are thrilled with the results. It was a very daunting task for me to undertake, but from the get-go, I was very impressed with all the direction, assistance and professionalism of this company. We started out working with Stephanie, a real gem of a lady. She is the designer and estimator who held my hand and was unbelievably patient with me. We were provided detailed cost estimates that easily allowed for any necessary adjustments. The construction crew became like extended family. Their courteousness, professional and thorough approach to all aspects of the project was outstanding. You could see they enjoyed their work and each other. A special shout out to Tommy whose sunny disposition was contagious. Robbie, our project manager kept us informed with a nightly phone call or text to let us know who and what was planned for the next day. They worked seamlessly with one crew exiting a job and within minutes the next crew arriving to tackle the next phase. Jen the Officer Manager kept everything running smoothly from behind the scenes. She even stopped over a couple of times to check in on things, as did Justin the owner. I can honestly say I have never worked with a better group of people either personally or professionally. Our experience with these guys was exceptional - almost a carbon copy of the one described by John C on 3/2/2019! We had them completely remodel both our master bath and the upstairs hall bath used primarily by guests. Stephanie was great to work with and very patient with us as we worked through the design options. She helped us stay on budget without sacrificing the look and enhanced functionality we were going for. We were contacted every evening and briefed on who would be coming to our home the following day and what they would be working on. Tommy did a great job with all the plumbing issues from re-positioning drains and water lines to installing new hardware in the showers and large soaker tub. Chris did a fantastic job on all the tile and even recommended some finish techniques that weren't part of the original plan - without breaking the budget! These guys were very respectful of our home and each other and even our dogs were happy to see them everyday. It's nice to work with a company that treats its customers like partners in the remodel project and delivers on their promise to do quality work in a timely manner without exception or excuses. We are trying to decide if the most amazing part of this renovation is the beautiful finished product or the fact that it was done during a pandemic. Each professional that we had working on the bathroom maintained "social distancing" and some wore masks. Bill from The Bath Shop was our first contact. He met with us and after looking at our bathroom, gave us a thorough quote to compare with another company. After choosing The Bath Shop to do our renovation, he helped us with design issues and selecting materials that were needed for the project. We are happy with every one of those choices. We only had one change order and that was to upgrade to custom glass tub doors and again we were thrilled with the results. Each professional that worked on their specialty was friendly and very well qualified. Work was done in a timely manner and everything cleaned up at day's end. Stephanie from the design crew came to our house just 2 days after we called to inquire about their company. She had great ideas and several of them included ways to keep expenses to a minimum. Extremely pleased with our master bath remodel. Removed the builder's acrylic tub and small shower. Replaced with a large, level entry, tiled shower and a linen closet.
