What happened to me at the salon was unprofessional and total disregard for my safety. I called the salon about five days before my scheduled appointment on Tuesday the 13th for a hair dye consultation. She should have had me come in before my appointment to do a skin test or at the very least a skin test on Tuesday before applying hair dye to my head. I told the stylist beforehand that I had had negative reactions to just for men hair dye, and asked her why this product wouldn't give me the same negative reaction. She assured me I'd be OK. It gets worse, I sought after an experienced stylist at this salon and her total disregard for safe industry practices put my health at great risk. I had second degree burns on my scalp resulting in pus oosing out so much that my scalp became wet. Worse yet, I was speaking the next day at my graduation in front of about 5000 people. My graduation hat got stuck to my head from the pus dry into it and when I removed it a piece of small hair it got stuck. I wasn't able to take the graduation photos I wanted because of how bad my head looked. The inside of my cap was also stained from the puss. Almost 2 weeks later I've had to go to three doctors appointments still suffering from itching and bumps on my scalp and I got a staphylococcus infection. When I asked the owner to come to an agreement of settlement, she told me to contact her attorney and then didn't give me any information to contact them with. This is not how an upstanding business should act or treat their clients. And if they treat me like this, they will also treat you like this. I love how yelp allows user to edit reviews I had to contact the state cosmetology board to get the salons liability insurance information, since I've had 4 drs appointments and hundreds of dollars in prescriptions. Is this really the type of business people want to risk going to?

Another thing I appreciate about this place is they are very respectful of their clients time. I'm a busy working professional and don't have the schedule that would allow me to sit and wait in a waiting room for an extended period. The client as well as the business are held accountable and have a set schedule to keep. I know I will be able to make my next obligation with no concerns because of waiting. My experience was not up to standard. There was no "welcome to the european wax center" or "thank…read moreyou for coming in today". The receptionist was very rude- she was short in her responses and was rushing me through the payment process. I haven't been to a European wax center for 10+ years so I asked if I could get the free wax, which she simply said "no". It seemed grimy and dirty in the front desk check in area with excess boxes around and dirty plexiglass at the desk. Then, my waxer did not even talk or spark conversation with me. (I know that an important part of a wax is the distraction...) I was the one asking the questions and keeping the conversation rolling. She didn't explain to me what she was going to do. It was hard to relax in her presence. In terms of the waxing- she would put on pretty large pieces/areas of wax. In my experience, I have had people use smaller strips so that it was more precise and not as painful. It also seemed like she lost her grip on the wax sometimes so she took smaller pieces of the larger piece of wax. I asked how much the inner thy add on would be and she said "$12", so I said that I would like to add it. (It was actually $20). At the end, I looked down and she missed some spots. I asked her to wax another strip where there was a HUGE line of hair (I have no idea how she missed it). There were some sparse hairs that she missed too and she told me to "tweeze them because it turns out I have very sensitive skin". I knew that I had sensitive skin.... I will not be returning due to their lack of professionalism and experience.
