As we glanced at the menu one of the employees recognized my daughter from her place of work! He was very pleasant. And quite frankly when you have spent so much of your adult life being new to a community (12 different homes in 35 years) it feels good to feel like you are part of the community! She ordered a carne asada Torta with Everything (avocado, lettuce and tomato) a very nice torta on delicious roll! She rated it an 8.5 Fish taco, chicharron taco, 2 carne asada tacos for me! So very delicious let's break it down! Corn Tortillas for all! The fish was okay.... BUT my FIRST time having chicharron in a taco.. blew me away. I love pork rinds! But had no idea what to expect. These were simmered in a red sauce... a very flavorful red sauce! Serious Flavor and I was immediately a fan! The carne Asada tacos are the closest to the first street tacos I ever had 15 years ago in Florence Kentucky. Next to a washaterria a tiny market and lunch counter served amazing food from the tiniest kitchen ever! Tacos De Guisado brightened my life today with their street tacos! The meat was being grilled fresh out front. The smell had alerted me to what my tastebuds must have! I was not disappointed! While everything we ate could have been served unadorned the fresh sauces and toppings took it all to a higher level. But let's not stop here! Wrap it all in a moist warm hearty textured corn tortilla and I'm seriously nearing Food Coma Nirvana! Oh yes. Squeeze fresh lime from the salsa/condiment bar and you feel like the pearly gates of food heaven just opened wide! Pepsi products! Discount for paying with cash! The ladies restroom needs a little maintenance... Toilet paper holder is damaged and the floor could do with power wash or scouring especially adjacent to the baseboard. Soap was stocked and there were no unpleasantries! GIG is on my radar!
