The shop felt like spring and summer from the moment I walked in. I could mentally feel the sand between my toes. There are some cute Girlie Girl and Simply Southern t-shirts in bright colors or phrases celebrating the south. And, with a t-shirt purchase, comes a free pair of flip-flops. It's hard to go wrong with that. What a way to kick off the season. But that isn't all. The other half of the front room has garden items, both cute and unusual, from the tiny bird houses/bird feeders, to the owl decorations and the wall hangings celebrating our four legged friends. The back room has handbags, candles, soaps and shea butter lotions and fragrances. Many of them are made in North Carolina. For someone wanting to special-order a personal design, there's an embroidery machine and some solid color t-shirts on site. Rusted Shovel is a perfectly charming store to get ready for the changing seasons. It's an affirmation that not all good things are only found in the big towns and cities.

Cute little shop with gifts and t-shirts, home decor, from Simply Southern and other brands. Great…read morefor the whimiscal gift, jewelry, summer wear and garden flags. A thrift area in the back offers dishes, shoes and some repurposed furniture. Inviting storefront as you drive on NC 55 between Angier and Coats. Shop local! After shopping, stop at Ma's Grill near Coats for an afternoon snack.

THIS THRIFT STORE COMES IN AS FAYETTEVILLE'S worst, most, crooked, so-called thrift stores around!…read moreTHEY HAVE MADE NUMBER 1 on My Review of Local Thrift stores & their HOPE MILLS LOCATION MADE NUMBER 3! The clerks & volunteers YELL LOUDLY at folks beginning at 5:20: 40 minutes left! then they keep on and keep on & keep on until they yell: get to the register sir or mam or we are shutting it down! Older gray-haired male & his English wife are the worst! The young girl Savannah thinks she can price everything at market value & tries to get as much as possible for these ahem.."orphans." NEVER SEE THE NEW ITEMS BEING BROUGHT IN BY LOADS? The employees and volunteers DO NOT HAVE TIME TO PUT IT OUT BC THEY MUST GO THRU IT AND TAKE OUT WHAT THEY WANT TO SCORE AND THE LOOK UP MARKET VALUE TO TAKE AWAY THE HUNT OF THRIFTERS! The employees ARE THE ORPHANS YOU SUPPORT WITH DONATIONS SWARMING AROUND the DONATED merchandise & not putting it out until they set aside what they want & Google items & jack up prices up to retail! THEY have killed the FUN of thrift! SO rude as to tell u if you find something at a price that they realize has any value when they check you out they insult you by saying: oh well thats not the price one of the volunteers messed up! and they take it from you! they have prices like $20 on old non working lamps bc somebody online painted one like it and made some $! they are highly concerned w ebay prices but they do not have to pay for their items, clean & repair them, take photos, create listings, pay for listings, pay transaction fees, pay monthly store subscription fees, do all the work that ebay seller does! they do not understand a 15 sale on ebay might might put $4 in the sellers pockets after costs & all that work! they are very unsavvy & greedy! do not donate or shop here! i believe a real thrift store for a cause of homelessness in our town should be opened! orphans? house their parents & rehab them to avoid orphaning! then everything i buy fragile when i get it home is broken & guess what? savanna gave me a $1 free item for my purchase of a 15 item that she broke packing in a hurry! then the old man & brit wife gossip about savanna when she leaves saying she runs out the door, too long at bank, they back bite each other and even put down customers! they charge ridiculous prices gor knick knacks & clothing! they hit u hard on shoes especially if they are name brand! use poshmar! cheaper even w shipping & way way better quality! they accept bedding and its near the clothes bed bugs could be all up in that stiff! yuck! even old used tissue paper & cards they want as much as the dollar store when they should be charging a nickel or a dime! my god they want .50 cents to a $1 for a dollar store gift bag that's used! they want .75 cents for dollar store tissue that has been opened and is only half full! i will never go back! pic of basswood carving kit with 2 pieces of small wood pieces bought just to show! 1.99 plus taxes! aa battery beside photo to show scale and size! i got charged 2 bucks and taxes at a thrift store for 2 pieces of cheap wood! OF ALL LOCAL THRIFT STORES REVIEWED TO DATE HERE ARE THE 3 TOP WORST with 1 being the ABSOLUTE WORST! 1. SAVE THE ORPHANS BRAGG BLVD ( Translated to make workers and owner rich with your DONATED ITEMS) PS whoever donated a CAR TO THIS PLACE REST ASSURED THAT AN EMPLOYEE IS NOW DRIVING IT BC HE DIDNT HAVE A CAR! No orphan was even fed a meal with your CAR DONATION! I hear it was a pretty nice car too! 2. NIFTY THRIFTY aka SNEAKY FOR PROFIT TAKING DONATIONS WITH A SIGN SAYING SO 3. SAVE THE ORPHANS HOPE MILLS THE PRICIEST BOUTIQUE OF A THRIFT STORE AROUND! I was charged 10 for a "Lefton" clown that's 2" high and is a dollar store donation!

Great prices, can usually find good stuff. Can be a bit hit or miss. They have a punch card, one…read morepunch for every $10 spent then 20% off an entire purchase when card is full. Staff is friendly enough and there's not often a wait at checkout. There are several locations of this store in the Fayetteville area.
