Horrible place, would have given zero stars if that were possible.
Was here for a year and my baby would come home starving everyday. He is quite a good eater at home, so we spoke to staff in the room who blamed my baby for refusing food.
He never ever got nappy rash at home but always had one after coming back from Advantage. We wondered why that was the case as his nappy looked clean when we collected him at 5 in the evening. One day we went to collect him at 3:30 in the afternoon without advance notice and were shocked to see him wearing the same nappy we had given when we had dropped him at 7:30 in morning. Turns out the staff were changing nappy based on parents pick up time and not every four hours as they were supposed to.
We spoke to the staff and that got resolved fortunately.
In summer my baby would come back home very thirsty, crying for water. Would speak to staff every morning during drop off who would promise they offer him water but didn't. One day a staff member even told me if my 13 month baby is thirsty, he can always go and fetch it himself or ask for it! I had to remind her she's is talking about a 13 month old baby. She apologised but the problem was never resolved.
In winter the staff would send my son out to garden without putting on the jacket and hat we provided. We suspected that as his jacket looked untouched in the bag and my son always used to catch a cold after coming back from Advantage, but staff in the room insisted they always put his jacket on. Then we saw pictures in their online portal called Tapestry of my baby playing in 5 degree Celsius outside with no jacket or hat. Spoke to staff in the room again. Initially they denied, then when we showed the pictures they admitted they had forgotten in my son's case as there were quite a few kids, and will be more careful in future. That issue was resolved to be honest but I still feel like crying thinking about my little baby with no warm clothes in that weather for a month.
When we tried to raise all these issues with management, instead of getting any sympathy, the answer was we were putting too much pressure on their staff, they feel stressed out and our expectations are too high.
We have left Advantage now. My son is in another nursery and he's doing very well. He's well fed there, comes home happy, not crying for food or water, and I've not had a single reason to be unhappy about. read more
