The vegetables were super fresh, nothing was over-cooked, the flavors all worked well together and none of us left hungry. The menu has something for just about everyone - even for vegans and vegetarians. I would be very surprised if there was a better Thai restaurant in Lower Saxony.

Ordered the Pla Gung which is a shrimp salad with lemongrass, lime, onions, chili, mint, lemon juice, and shrimp - life changing! I'd like to think I've eaten a lot of Thai food in my days, and even the Phad Thai with chicken here was some of the best I've ever had. The people are very nice. They speak English and have English descriptions on the menu, for all of us out of towners. Will be glad the next time work sends me to Hannover because it means I can eat here again!

After briefly combing Yelp for helpful reviews to make our decision, we came across Pho3mien; we were pretty sold based on the photos that others have taken of this place. In terms of location, the restaurant is located north of what one would consider the city center. It's a bit in the cuts, but definitely worth the walk. Whilst traveling on foot, I did not notice any parking garages/lots and only street parking for this restaurant. I also seem to recall that it was a one way street. So if you would want to come here, I suggest parking in the parking garage about 4 blocks away (if you're driving) and then walking the rest of the way. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Despite how the pictures looked, my expectations were still rather low. It is really a pan-Asian restaurant - the menu offered Vietnamese, Chinese, and Thai cuisines. They also dabbled in dim sum. We came here for the Vietnamese food and that's exactly what we got. Compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in Germany, Pho3mien rates amongst the top 10. The variety that is found here is like none other that I've seen in other restaurants. Example, Pho Bo is usually the only pho variation served in Germany (some restaurants may offer Pho Ga). At Pho3mien, you can also find, Pho Tai (medium cooked meat), Pho Dac Biet (special), and Bun Bo Hue in terms of the soup noodle category. They also have coi guon, banh xeo, com bo luc lac, and vermicelli bowls as well. Tip: Che 7 Mau. My Asians will know this drink. Only restaurant I've found in Germany that serves this. The only other asian drink that will probably beat this is Boba (we have yet to find one of those). The food quality exceeded my expectations and it was a delight to dine here. Would definitely come here again if I'm stopping in Hanover.

It has about 6 tables that seat 4-8 people each. And the interior is pretty decent. Nothing too fancy, but not run down, tacky, or any of that. Just a chill place to enjoy some Vietnamese food. Service was very nice. We were seated with our menus (in German/Vietnamese) but they had some photos to help. If you use Google Translate on their webpage, it's a big help! And the menu is on there. Our Pho was very good! I would be sure to ask if something is spicy. I didn't realize mine would be, so I ended up switching with my husband...and he added even more chili (Which they serve on the side with lemon). The broth is awesome and you can tell they know what they are doing. Why 4 instead of 5 stars? Simply because it was quite good, but I try to keep my 5 stars for those WOW spots.

I had to add some more fish sauce and feel they could have added more basil, coconut milk, and lemongrass for a more flavorful curry. Pad Thai was not bad with its kick of stir fry flavor from the wok, but again not flavorful enough and not the best I've had in town. The mango sticky rice dessert was delicious because they used a really ripe Ataulfo mango which is rare in this part of the world--but for €6.90 a pop, one would expect a peeled half a mango sitting on top of all that coconut sauce and rice and not just one with the skin on it still so you have to scoop out the flesh from the halved mango before being able to eat it with the coconut sauce underneath it. This is the first time I've ever had to do this and as a connoisseur of sticky rice mango desserts, let me tell you, having to scrape the sauce from the peel on the back of the halved mango is significantly less satisfying than being able to spoon the perfect bite straight from top to bottom of a perfectly prepared already-peeled mango sticky rice dessert. I would come here for take-out on a busy work night because all in all it's decent and close to where I live.
