It houses way more books than it looks like it was from the outside and has a really quaint and cozy bookstore vibe. The staff was also very polite and we were able to find some really interesting titles. As you would guess most of the titles are in German, but I was able to find many English versions as well. It's free to enter and I believe this is a must visit while in Heidelberg, especially for any reading fans.

Not many English books, and not a single classic, but nice atmosphere and tons of magazines to…read morebrowse while waiting for your train. The staff lady was nice - the only nice staff I met in Heidelberg - she answered a question she overheard me ask my husband, and gave me a free little notebook they had stacked on the counter.
