This place used to be great. Unfortunately the last couple of times we went there, we were disappointed. The shrimp in the "pad kee mao" was not de-veined! I was really disappointed. Service was kinda slow, brought out the wrong item the first time. When they brought it back, it was spicy instead of medium, so my wife didn't really enjoy that. The food was delicious and delivery service was timely. We ordered the appetizer sampler which came with four distinct dipping sauces, Tom Yum Chicken, Panang Curry and the Kid's Lemon Chicken. The Tom Yum Chicken was fragrant and the vegetables were spot-on! For the appetizers, there was a nice assortment of fried items. I found this restaurant on yelp and it had good reviews so i wanted to check it out. I take out and Andre took my order and gave me my food when I arrived. He was very nice and happy to have my business. I ordered corn cakes (just ok), crab Rangoon (amazing) and chicken pad thai (very good). It was a monday and only one couple was in the restaurant. This place is horrible! Took my son for his birthday there because sweet basil was closed and the only eatable was the Thai papaya salad. Very expensive and salty. Sent my tom ka soup back asking the lady if they could make it less salty and she came back with the soup even saltier! Never again I'll come to that place! What happened?? I am not crazy about writing bad reviews, but felt this was warranted. We have been patrons of this restaurant for years. We knew that they had a recent ownership change, but decided to give it a try anyway. We ordered our usual dishes, Spring rolls, Pad Thai, Peanut Lover, and Beef Thai salad. I noticed that when I entered the restaurant, it was not as clean as it had been previously . We brought the food home and first opened the Spring rolls. I was assaulted with a smell similar to paint. Everything in the Spring roll looked spoiled.The food was inedible. I opened the rest of the dishes and they were not at all like the ones that we had gotten before the ownership change. I was afraid to eat anything. We threw out every single dish. What a very expensive mistake!!! I am incredibly disappointed and will NOT return to this restaurant . read more

My special Friend was in town and we found ourselves over in Hurst. We went onto Yelp to locate restaurants near us to go eat. We came across Thai Thip and thought we'd give it a shot. It had wonderful reviews. It did not disappoint. My friend had Pho and I had a soup and noodle dish as well. Delicious! For Texas standards, this place was excellent. This type of place in Oregon are a dime a dozen. For Texas, this is another rare find off the beaten path. I would go back again. I had the yellow curry fried rice which was very good. Good portion and heat. For the average person, 3 heat index might be too hot. I had 3 plus hot sauce. Salad rolls were not great. Too much lettuce and the peanut sauce was not good. The main difference between a 3 and 4 star was the dessert. The mango and sticky rice is the Thai barometer. Portion was small, but perfect for one person. Sweet and fresh. Not sure why they had raspberry sauce drizzled, that's not traditional. The coconut sauce was plenty. read more

I've tried Thai food only five times in my life. Last time three years ago. I've also become very bored with Chinese and Sushi which have all of a sudden taste the same no matter where I go. So I thought I'd give Thia another shot. I stumbled on this tiny hide away in Bedford and had Pad Thai the go to basic dish suggested by everyone. WOW! The spices, the heat the jumble of flavors and freshness of my meal was wonderful. So the next day I took my wife who is a fish and salad basic person. We had the Mamas special an egg rolls. The meal was absolutely perfect (I got a level three heat this time). I was so surprised that my wife liked it (level one heat). Service was good, not great but it was expected for a small mom & pop place. A couple of customers came in and were treated by name. They were very nice and provided service with a smile. I would give them 3 stars if they weren't so rude to us. Food is tasty but service is awful. It is not kid friendly whatsoever. We were treated like we were not welcome the entire time, the staff never offered to take our orders, get us drinks etc. I have a 8 month old and there is nowhere to change a diaper inside the restaurant. Only time the staff addressed us on their own was to tell us we cannot change him inside the restaurant and to do it in our car(It was around 35 degrees outside). I would not come back with or without children. Overall service was depressing. read more
