WORST SERVICE EVER. I used to be a big fan of this place. I loved the pad thai and mini spring rolls and was a regular customer. It was always better to eat in b/c a lot of the time with takeout the pad thai was dry. Still, I overlooked this and continued to eat in and take out from there. However what I won't overlook is the complete lack of service or regard for their customers. Not only are the staff rude, the owner could care less. This is the most poorly run restaurant I have ever been to and the food lately has just been mediocre. I've been going there since they first opened but after my most recent experience there where they left something out of my delivery and then 2hrs later finally showed up after telling me every 15 minutes I was the next delivery and then the delivery guy proceeded to yell at me and wouldn't give me my food b/c I demanded a refund (which the person answering phones had told me they ok'd with the owner and supposedly informed the delivery guy of this). The staff then gave me the # for the owner who I left a message for and never heard back from. Well congratulations, you just lost a loyal customer as well as numerous other customers who I had sent there and now am sending to Onzon on Merrick Rd in Bellmore. They have great food and a little something called service. The owner of Thai Station could learn something from them. I wouldn't be surprised to hear they end up going out of business. read more

Tipped 20% through grubhub, your delivery man wasn't aware of this so went on to ask me for a tip, when i said I tipped 20% he pulled out his cell and called the restaurant to confirm, not leaving, I said "look dude, the food was $24.40, and it says paid $33.20. which is 20%, tax and your shitty $1 delivery charge. Teach your delivery boys a lesson, even if they don't get tipped isn't a reason to ask the customer for one or refuse to leave and call the store. I tip for good service and since I prepaid it, now *I* feel ripped off. read more

Down the tubes is an understatement! If you want a vegetarian dish even though you ordered a meat dish this place is for you! When this place first opened up we would eat there on average 6 to 8 times a month between lunch and dinner. Slowly the portions got skimpier with less meat but we still ate their food 3 to 4 times a month, mostly delivery. Too bad this place was once the go to place. Every person who has been eating here since it opened knows what I'm saying is true. Yes the prices are low but the quality is too. Food should be a value not cheap. Tonight we ordered our usual dishes but this time the lack of beef in the beef pad thai was ridiculous. So as a loyal customer from the first day they opened I figured it would be a no brainer, I'd call politely voice my displeasure and get some satisfaction. Was I ever wrong. When the manager finally got on the phone (after I was hung up on), he said even though my food was delivered I should drive to the restaurant to get it replaced, he wouldn't give me a credit. Really? You can afford to lose customers? A loyal customer who stuck by you as your food quality slacked? When I told him he lost a good customer and I would voice my displeasure on yelp he told me to f*** myself. Guess the manager doesn't realize that Thai restaurants are as ubiquitous as stop signs. read more

About once every six months, we go to this Thai restaurant - usually after a movie because the kitchen is open late. Tonight we chose to try Thai Station instead of our local Thai places and what a mistake! We walked in, the hostess picked up menus, put them at a table, never once said a word to us or smiled ... We were just expected to follow. The service was horrible!! No one ever checked to see if our meal was okay or refilled our waters. The food used to be good - at least that is what I remember ... Not good tonight! For appetizers, we ordered a green salad (dressing not so good, not much to it), beef satay (huge portion but little flavor). We like spicy Thai food and told our waiter this. Our entrees were Massaman curry and Spicy Shrimp and String Beans- both Should have a kick but both arrived VERY sweet! I guess we made a face at the food because one of the staff members (not our waiter) finally came over and asked if there was a problem. He told us that most of the people who eat there cannot tolerate spicy food and send the food back if it is too spicy. So we were left with a sweet dish and a side of chili pepper ... This was my first time at the restaurant. It's in a nice area of Merrick. It's next to a Ralph's Italian ices so its a great location for dinner and desert. We didn't have to wait very long to be seated even though it's a very small environment and the the place was full. I have heard great things about the food. The hostess was lacking in any kind of personality and wasn't very inviting. I don't think I saw her smile once. We were seated and had to wait a little longer than usual. It took our server 10 mins or so before he even came over to introduce himself or ask what we wanted to eat. By this point we all knew what we were going to order. I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken. The food came out within a decent amount of time. The food was excellent and fresh. It felt a bit rushed. Recommend the food for sure. Came here this past Saturday with a friend who was visiting from out of town. The place is small but when we got there, there was only one other party in there so I wasn't uncomfortable as far as space is concerned. For drinks I got the Thai iced tea. I must say that I was a little disappointed with this one. It was super sweet and didn't have enough of the cream/ milk that they use. Now I've had many Thai iced teas in the past to compare to this one and I have definitely had better. My friend got the ginger honey tea which she really liked. For appetizers we got the spring rolls and the chicken skewers with peanut sauce which was good. For the entree I got the fried red snapper with sweet chili sauce and it came with cucumbers and tomatoes on the side and white rice. I was a little disappointed with this dish because it was also way too sweet and had way too much sauce. My friend got the drunken noodle dish with chicken which I tasted. I liked that dish but but it also tasted it like it may have been a little sweet which is something I wouldn't expect with that dish ( my friend agreed). Overall it wasn't a bad experience but it wasn't great either. It is possible I may give this place another chance in the future and try something different. read more

I've been eating take-out from Thai-Station for 5+ years now...about 3x's a month on average. Nothing but good things to say about this spot. I drive from V.S to get food in Merrick and it's worth the 15 minute trip. Parking does get tight on Merrick Ave if it is a Thursday or Friday night. There is plenty of parking in the back lots...5 minute walk won't kill you.... My rating is A+. read more

I've been here a few times. I like the food. It's kind of a shlep to park because you have to go all the way to the parking lot in the back of the place but it's a really nice and comfortable restaurant to go on a date or just hangout with an old friend with. My friend and I hadn't seen each other for many months and we were able to sit and hangout there for well over three hours and just talk, chill out, and enjoy some pad thai! Their food would have been delicious has they not cut a lime in half and put it over our food. The taste was horrible(hot lime juice..ew) also if you're order any of their noodle dishes for delivery the noodles get dry and congealed. I used to go to Thai Station all the time when I lived on Long Island. The decor of the restaurant can be described as an elegant hole in the wall. It's teeny tiny and on weekend nights, seem even tinier. There's usually a wait but well worth it. The prices are reasonable and they serve wine/beer. I still crave their Beef Pad See Yu every now and then. Their dishes are so flavorful, it's like a party in your mouth and you can hear the music in your head. It is the very definition of comfort food. Here are some of my favorites: The chicken coconut soup. I swear, this soup will make your worst day disappear. I can drink vats of this stuff. The Indian Golden Bread with fried peanuts, which is more like a dessert I would say. It's sweet and made with condensed milk. So good. The Beef Satay. Tender and delicious especially with the peanut sauce. Yum. The Pad Thai is one of the best Pad Thai I have ever eaten. Served with a lime that you can squeeze on yourself, which not all places do. And the lime is what really makes that dish... well that and the noodles and peanuts and stuff. I already mentioned the Beef Pad See Yu, my all-time favorite. The Spicy Coconut Noodles is also something to write home about, especially if you like the flavor of coconut on thick noodles. The Pineapple Fried Rice and I are long-time friends. The crunchy onions on top is what really makes this dish too. The Massamum Curry is thick, sweet and has just enough spice. There is much more but I will end with the Thai Iced Tea. This place should be the example for most Thai places in NYC. The taste is incredibky authentic or so I think because only a place that knows it's spices Luke Thai station would be authentic. The coconut soup is spicy the little peppers on the menu are no joke but delicious nonetheless. I love coming back here and have to try more items soon. Never order food on a Friday night!! I have been waiting 50 mins for my order. The food is not worth the wait. I just walked out as it appears they were having trouble with their credit card machines and behind on all take out orders. When you call they say 20 minutes. I actually heard the receptionist say 20 mins to someone on the phone while myself and 5 others waited. After the 2nd time I was told it would be a few minutes, I lost all patience and left. I would have waited longer If they would have offered anything to the customers that we're waiting for more than an hour. But nothing was offered. read more

I've really enjoyed the coconut soup as well as the vegetable dumplings to start. For my main course I tend to lean towards the chicken pad thai made extra spicy. I am a regular here, and have been going for at least 5 years. Food is consistently great, with nice prices and service as well! All the apps are wonderful, but I recommend the chicken and vegetable dumplings. I usually get pad thai or pad see yu with a glass noodle soup (all the soups are great too!) but honestly everything I've tried here is good, from the spicy basil fried rice to the mango duck. The atmosphere is nice if you catch it on a slow day, but when it's packed it gets loud - the place is small! The only thing I'd say that is lacking is the take out - the quality of the food significantly drops and it's a shame. So if you want the real taste and experience go there and be served! The food here is very good. I always drink their Thai iced teas and recommend it to anyone. My favorite item on the menu is the glass noodle soup with chicken. This place is delicious! I live 10 minutes or so away and this is my go-to Thai place whenever I'm feel in Thai food. They have a delicious menu that will fulfill your Thai palette. The place is not too big and they do not take reservations but it is definitely worth it. Their shrimp pad thai = yummy. read more

I normally don't like to publicly criticize a restaurant, but today I'm enraged. I placed an order through Grub Hub for Thai Station and received my food with one entrée short. Before I called Thai Station, I checked my app and my credit card company and I had definitely been charged for 3 meals. The owner offered no apologies and said it would take 1 hour and 30 minutes to get that entrée to me. Needless to say, my dinner was ruined and whatever food we had was shared. When we called after an hour of waiting, we overheard the owner say that there would be no compensation or credit given. She insinuated that we made it up, the poor girl on the phone said to her that she saw the order, and that we were shorted. One hour and 10 minutes later, we received the missing entrée and the delivery person only said, "sorry." At this point, I'm not looking for anything, but what angers me is the attitude of the owners and their discourteous behavior. After many years of doing take out from them, today is my last day. Once my anger subsides, I will go there in person to show my Grub Hub receipt and their receipt. I'm sure they will know who to hold accountable and it's certainly not me! read more

I have only done take-out from here, but I really like it. It looks nice inside. It is small but there are plenty of tables. I think the food is great and tasty.
