Been meaning to try Thai Nara for a while ... and it was worth the wait! Our waitress was so kind and attentive. The restaurant is small, clean but well-lit and they are generous with the AC. We ordered the spring rolls. They were mediocre but better with the sauces. My niece had the chicken steamed dumplings that came four to an order. The fried snapper was amazing! The Tom Yum was good! I was not expecting much as I have had Tom Yum at other Thai places in Elmhurst, Qns. and was not impressed. The fried rice was good and so were the drunken noodles. The mango salad was delicious! Tipping is included and our bill for the dishes was $120. The portions run a little small but Halal is awesome!

Got Tom yum shrimp soup ($7), Tom yum fried rice, & 1 Thai fried rice (no spice besides black pepper). Both fried rice are $14, & we got beef for both. Both the Tom yum dishes are really spicy & contain bell peppers. Really good otherwise. The Thai fried rice was perfect for me. Not spicy at all. Their fried rices & Tom yum soup are really good.

After a very long time I get to try their food again . It was great actually. I ordered thai soup, iced bubble tea & beef sizzling. Everything was good , I wished more beef on the sizzling then too much vegetables! I was disappointed! You can see the price are reasonable & the portion was ok. Posting some new pics of the food .

Thai Nara has some fantastic food that is also halal and very reasonably priced. I had some food both to stay and to go and everything was great. It's also so nice to see a restaurant that clearly a neighborhood staple that does a lot for their community and vice versa. Some dishes that stood out to me were the basil fried rice and the pad thai (with chicken). All in all, I will 110% be back.

2.5 stars The food was good but the ambience is not a vibe. I felt really bad for the one employee that was working there but it was a lot of noises and smells in the seating area -- I was just really off put by the experience the entire time. The employee was really sweet and took good care of us. But the working conditions for the kitchen safe didn't seem the best. At one point the fire alarm went off, unsure for the cause but it was extremely loud. The food was good but the drunken noodles and the pad Thai lacked flavor and wasn't the best I've ever tried. The spicy chicken wings was amazing and so well seasoned.

Really good service and food here. I came here with a bunch of friends to celebrate my birthday and we were satisfied with the quality of the food.

Food/Drinks: Overall, the food was delicious, although we weren't really the biggest fan of the Crispy Chicken (Peanut Sauce) as it was just way sweeter than we expected. The Fried Firecracker Shrimp Rolls were also a lot smaller than we expected given its price. However, the Thai Iced Tea is probably the best we've had. It has this beautiful sweetness and refreshing taste. The noodles were also fantastic. Each dish was very similar but had a few unique components. Personally, the Pad Kee Mao was definitely my favorite. The noodles were very filling and were the exact taste we were looking for. Service: The service was slightly slow, which makes sense since it was only one person manning the place and one chef working in the back. There were quite a few people there so service was expected to be slightly on the slower side. However, we were surprised to see that our orders came way later than that of another table who came in a good 20-30 minutes after us. They had already gone through half of their meal before we could even get our main dishes. Ambiance: It's a small and packed restaurant in the middle of Broadway. It's cozy and feels like home which I really liked. The bathroom also has a bodna for Muslim customers which is very accommodating. Overall, the place is nice and I'd probably go back again if I'm in the area, but the service time isn't ideal and I'd probably stick to just the noodles and Thai Iced Tea next time.

Nice and quaint Thai Halal restaurant. The cook was very friendly and we talked about our asian similarities. He also took some suggestions on making real duck. Food came fresh. I'm amazed to see that there's a heath code grade posted outside their restaurant. I was put at ease that the food is handled well. I ordered a Thai iced tea and drunken noodles. I would definitely come back when I pass by New York. The price is appropriate and the portions was also appropriate for me.

Went for lunch after a long drive in New York City. Looked up a nice Halal Thai restaurant and this came on top of the list. Out front shows a grade A on their health code. The host was very friendly and so as the cook. Not a lot of people in the restaurant with quaint seating options, makes it a lot peaceful to eat our meals. I can say every meal was cleared we did not need any take out boxes. My little one enjoyed her Thai iced tea, tom yum soup, spring rolls and half of the drunken noodle dish. I had the Thai basil beef fried rice, spicy Thai fried chicken wings (not too impressed since it has the same consistency as the store bought) and Thai soup with chicken. My wife had the drunken noodles with shrimp. Definitely a place to return when we get to visit New York.

The food was delicious, we ordered whole fried fish, steamed vegetables, omelette and papaya salad. Finger licking good food. The restaurant can be easily reached by subway or bus, very strategic . Huge compliments to the chef. Both chef and Nadia the waitress were friendly . The price was very affordable

Lunch specials were just the right amount of food across the menu! A favorite of mine when I am not willing to explore other places in the Jackson Heights/Woodside area. The staff are nice and efficient. Cozy, quaint little place to enjoy.

Price-wise was excellent with most dishes around the $10-30 range. Portions were large and meant to be shared. As for the food itself, I honestly expected better. If it was ranking in the same leagues as Fish Cheeks, Pranakhon, and Bangkok Supper Club on Beli, I thought the taste would be phenomenal but it truly just tasted like any decent thai spot I could find in SoCal. The only difference is that in SoCal there would be little to no wait. I must clarify that my qualms is not with the restaurant but with NYC having an issue of overinflating certain places and establishing high expectations of otherwise normal restaurants just doing its thing. The pad see ew was my favorite, and I liked how wide and long the noodles were. Otherwise, their Michelin Yum Duk Pla Fu was just another mango salad to me, and I had wished that the catfish tasted more like fish than breadcrumbing. The green curry was decent, nothing special. Good price for what you get though. If the wait wasn't unnecessarily long, I would consider this a nice spot for cheap, yummy Thai.

They definitely didn't tell me that lunch specials were available before I ordered my soup. Other than that, everyone is pleasant. Drunken Noodles were also really tasty. I like mine spicy and it could have been made spicier, but that's not even a real complaint. Also- the one next to me had this dish which reminded me of pad see ew but in a gravy. Looked delicious!! I will be back for whatever she had. Overall: the entire block is like a little Thai street.
