Let me tell you about the nibbles, a platter of delicious looking bite sized items, ranging from chicken wings to mini hotdog pastries, to black pudding, with cheese fondu, great for 3-4 people. But my favourite was the chicken, tender breast chicken bits, wrapped in a nut/rosemary/sea salt mixture, with manuka honey sauce. It was freaking delicious. After that, several wines and a rousing debate over local body politics we attacked a dinner. I had a steak and due to my long lasting hate affair with tomatoes, I asked for a different sauce and settled on a red wine jus. What followed was their special triple thickness home cut chips, heavily battered (but not oily) onion rings and one of the best steaks I've tasted. I ordered a third pounder with cheese, and was recommended to add bacon, which I did. I also ordered spud fries and a shake. The third pounder had a super juicy and tasty beef pattie which was beautifully cooked and mouth watering. The burgers are large, I had one of the smaller larger burgers (pickles instead of salad for example).
