Amazing! Best crab ragoons in the area!! Everything tasted super fresh. Did medium spice for the yellow and red curry, was good. I will probably go a little more spicy next time. I'm a person goes medium for hot wings and is content with the heat. Pad Thai was very flavorful and will definitely order it again. My rating is based on one dish Pad See Ew so take it with some perspective. One of my favorite Thai dishes. Was a bit surprised when it came out, the noodles were a bit pale looking, I'm used to a darker color. Disappointed to see American broccoli instead of Chinese but this is true of a lot of places so not knocking them too much for that. Dish though lacked a bit of depth and sweetness. Noodles though did have a good amount of Caramelization which isn't true of some place. Wouldn't come back for the Pad See Ew but definitely would give some other things a try. read more

Thai Buri is nestled in to a small strip mall and while it may look understated, their food is amazing! Their pad see ew is my personal favorite, especially with shrimp. They also have varying levels for spice- 1 being mild and 5 being the hottest, so everyone can be included no matter your spice tolerance. read more

Lovely people and very pleasant service in this spacious, sterile dining room. Not an issue for us because we came for the food and not the decor. We really appreciated how clean it was. Very fresh ingredients and very generous portions. Visually appealing food served up quickly. However, I was waiting for a burst of flavor with every bite and never got "it." The Beef Pepper steak consisted of lightly pan friend beef, fresh veggies (not cooked...think raw cubed mushrooms ) tossed with a light sauce. Perhaps cooking the veggies would bring out more flavor? We're not into spice, but we do love deeper, richer flavors. Perhaps with a few tweaks, this could be the Thai place we've been looking for near our home. We see their potential. First time and we were excited to try the food, but we were disappointed. The vegetable eggrolls were very greasy. We had the beef and broccoli and the beef was not tender. We had the shrimp and peapods Which was ok but nothing special. All I can say is that if I could give 10 stars, I would!!! Kathy, the owner, learned to cook from her mom in Thailand, and having myself been to Thailand a few times, I will testify that she and this restaurant are the REAL DEAL. Best dishes so far; Golden Bags, Tom Kha Soup, ANY of the curries, and Papaya Salad. I love spicy food, but the papaya salad was way too spicy, even for me. I mentioned to Kathy that it was too spicy, and the next thing I knew, I had a fresh, milder version on my table, even though I had eaten almost all of it. Oh, and how can I forget Mango with Sweet Sticky Rice? Our neighborhood needed a good Thai Restaurant, but we struck gold with Thai Buri and we now have probably one of the best Thai restaurants outside of Thailand. Ordered for takeout and I was surprised by their portion and tasty food. I got curry chicken fried rice, tom yum soup, papaya salad and pad thai. All was amazing and very close to authentic. I had the spicy basil shrimp fried rice and spicy chicken pad Thai. You've been warned. I asked for level 5 spicy and they delivered. I'll take it down to a level 2 most likely. The fried rice was my favorite of the two, they definitely added a good amount of shrimp and with a lunch special you get a soup and some egg rolls. Restaurant was clean and staff was friendly. Our new go to for Asian carry out. Very reminiscent of I am Siam where the owner worked. A welcome addition to the Buffalo Grove/ Wheeling area. Highly recommended. After three visits our favorites so far; Basil eggplant with chicken, Papaya salad, Tom Yum & Tom Yum noodle soup, Pad Kee Mao and Hawaiian fried chicken. We absolutely loved takeout from Thai Buri. Had a friend in from CA and she found this "gem" right near my home. I never knew this was here and I've since ordered two more times in the next two weeks. The food is delicious and very reasonable. The two girls at the front desk couldn't be more delightful! They are across the street from Banner Plumbing on Lake Cook Rd. Trust me, it's much better than Tongs or any other Thai restaurant we've ever tried! read more

Food is really good. Had the shrimp pad thai and beef pad see eew. Main complaint is that it's really greasy. Iflavornwas phenomenal though. I'll give it another try soon and report back. I'll ask for like low oil or something. The menu is also quite extensive which is good. Will try other things. One piece of advice: imitate jimmy thai's beef they use for the noodle dishes. This was awful! Shrimp in a blanket: Menu says this is "shrimp and basil leaves wrapped in soft spring roll skin." As such, was expecting a soft spring roll. These were fried -- and very greasy. The basil was in there, but I couldn't taste it. Teriyaki chicken: Wife said this was pretty flavorless and the dish was virtually all chicken, despite the menu claiming it's "served on a bed of broccoli, carrots, and peapods." Seafood medley: Menu says this is "shrimp, squid, mussel, stir-fried with bell pepper, carrot, mushroom, white green onion". First bite I took was a piece of squid, which was more like a piece of rubber. Second bite was a big chunk of tomato, which I figured was a red pepper. Unfortunately, I've got a tomato allergy, so this dish went right into the garbage -- but not before noticing that (in addition to the inclusion of tomatoes), there were fake "krab" stick pieces in there along with pineapple chunks -- but no white onions, no peapods, and no mushrooms. A disaster of a dish that was nothing like it was described on the menu. To their credit, they claimed they were refunding the cost of the seafood medley dish, but still -- not eating here again. read more

Our visit Saturday was a real experience. The food here is quite good, but they haven't really figured out the "how to run a dining room" part. We had the Combination appetizer plate, two soups (Tom Yum and Tom Kha), the Green Curry with Pork and the Thai Pepper Beef. While the Pepper Beef was a bit bland with dry beef slices, everything else was very good. Pricing is interesting - very reasonable entrees, with pricy soup (a single person bowl is 2/3 the cost of most entrees). The night we were there was chaotic, with lots of pick-up orders overwhelming the kitchen. They have no servers or host - the same family members do everything, so you have to figure out what's going on by yourself. Probably a result of the newness. I'd suggest trying it out at Lunch - they have a great selection of items with soup and an appetizer for $8.50. That way you can see if the operation is ironed out. read more
