I recently ordered an heirloom caliber rifle from TGS Tactical for a gift. When looking for a place to purchase the rifle, I chose TGS due to being Veteran friendly as almost all had similar prices. I called TGS to make sure the rifle was in stock and was told it was and was available and then ordered it on-line. I waited a week and had no notice of shipment so I emailed TGS for an order update and asked if they send tracking information on in-stock orders. No reply was received. I waited a couple of days and called and was told the rifle would be shipped and I would be receiving a tracking number the next day. Three days later, still no tracking number or notice of shipment so I called again. Tracking number promised same day and was told the rifle was on the way. More calls, more promises with no promise fulfillment. The first person I talked to did tell me they were behind due to the holidays (Oct. 15th?). Upon researching TGS (after the order, lesson learned) I discovered they had a Grade F rating from the Better Business Bureau (https://www.bbb.org/search) and two pretty awful reviews on Yelp (now three). BBB also declared they did not have proper ATF licensing. Another red flag was my credit card was charged before shipment, not illegal but unusual. With each step I became more concerned. I disputed the charge on my credit card and rescinded the order given the researched information and because I felt any reasonable person would expect shipment of an in-stock item within 2 weeks (It has been 45 days) if other arrangements have not been agreed upon.
